    Ok guys, I need some rim suggestions. Black rims that will fit a stock 2001 4 x 4 tire.

    16 inch tire. I want solid black rims. Anyone ever painted their stock rims black, if so got pics?

    I painted my wheels black. Lots of people have. Not a great pic since its supposed to be showing something else and a bit dirty, but you should get the idea.

    how did you prep the rims before you painted them? any trouble with peeling?

    Just washed, sanded lightly, primered, and painted. they've been doing ok. I've had to do a few touchups after running trails, but hasn't been too bad.

    The factory wheels are just painted as well, so I wouldn't expect it to hold up any less than that, except now they're black so they show every tiny defect.
