    Ignorance is bliss!!
Ever look at the shit rolling down the road these days, wonder if they’ll make it to the next town?
I’m all for PM’s, but I stopped scratching for an itch.

You only need to worry if your differential starts leaving spots pn the driveway. Toyota will fix a leak but they will not fix a weeping diff or one that whines when you feather the throttle at speed.

If it fails in the warranty period then it will also be replaced.

Quit worrying and go out and enjoy the truck.

Kinda hard to enjoy a brand new truck that has a high frequency howling noise and a power steering pump that took a crap at 338 miles. You are correct though it’s life and I just need to realize no vehicle is perfect and just move on from it try and enjoy the truck. I’ll bring it to the dealership for the howling just to get it documented

Was the pump replaced on warranty? If so then quit worrying about it unless you no longer enjoy or trust the truck. The warranty did it's job and hopefully Toyota honored the warranty.

However there is no reason to own something you don't like, sell it and move on if you dont like the truck. Tacomas aren't the best choice for everyone.

it goes away with premium fuel and comes back when i fill up with 87. also the sound seems to be coming from the catalytic converter/exhaust pipe from the gap between the cab and bed.

try some 93 and see what happens. if it's the rear diff, it won't make a difference.
