    Let's talk RING TONES!!!
I didn't see any thread about this, so figured I'd start one. I don't usually mess around with ringtones - I've been using a standard ring because its loud, annoying, and I'll actually hear it (I'm half deaf in one ear).

I don't really know how to get ringtones other than signing up online with some website and getting freebies or buying them. Can you make MP3's into ringtones? (I have Verizon EnV3).

I like free...but if I find something I like, I'll buy it. No biggie. What are some trusted websites out there to get ringtones from?

I'm actually looking for some ringtones and I don't know if they exist....
Anyone familiar with LBP (Little Big Planet)? I haven't played in like 6 months. I love to have some of the background music as a ringtones. Just not sure they're out there or if I can somehow 'make it' off the PS3? (that's probably asking a lot right?)

Go ahead and chat ringtones..... everything / anything goes!!

    http://www.zedge.net/ is good.
http://mobile17.com/ is also good. Both are FREE

I had the Original EnV on Verizon and Mobile17 worked great on it :D

by far your best option for ringtones. you can make your own from songs on your computer or just use ones that other people have made.

Probably a really long stretch but is there a website where you can choose part of a song to have as your ring tone? I like rock solos and would like to have one as my ring tone. What I use now for my ring tone is a song saved on my memory card. The ring tone only plays the first 10 seconds or whatever of the song.

There's a site called myxer.com. You can get ringtones that have been uploaded or you can upload your own mp3 (other formats might work too, don't know) to create a ring tone. You can also dub the file so if you only want a certain section of the song you can do that as well. It uploads and then sends it to you as a multimedia message. I think only standard text/multimedia messaging rates apply but if that's part of your plan you should be covered.

Yeah my girlfriend's sister was telling me something about that. She actually set up an account for me with myxer but I never paid any attention to it. I'll ask her again. Thanks for reminding me.

Well shit.... free doesn't always mean free and/or easy.

Tried a bunch of different sites and haven't gotten a ringtone yet. Most require you to register....which I did on a couple and/or tried while the sites just sat there forever. Tried over & over again - sites aren't working. If I was able to register, the one site would send a 4digit access code (or something) to my phone at which I couldn't view because apparently my PREMIUM messaging is blocked (and I don't have time to investigate that). Another site I needed to visit a site online while on the phone...and I don't have data.

What a pain in the ass!! (sorry, I guess I'll try again later if I have time)
