Yeah, I'm not sure. I know that when the body shop tried to start the truck it fired up after a few attempts (so they told me). They also told me the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, including the airbag lights. I know for a fact there was water in the transmission, rear differential, the engine... the catalytic converter needed to be replaced... long story short, there was a lot of damage. The truck sat in the water for almost 8 hours.

This is why I recommend the V8. It may not be as fuel efficient as the EcoBoost, but it gets the same mileage whether you are driving for fun or driving for fuel efficiency. With the EcoBoost, it gets great fuel economy if you are driving like a grandma and aren't towing or hauling. But once those turbos spool up for work, they guzzle the fuel. The 5.0L Coyote V8 handles whatever throttle input you throw at it and asks for more. Seriously the nicest overall modern full size truck I've driven.

I dig the front fascia, especially the headlamps! I would definitely choose the Off Road over the sport though personally. With a lift and some 35s this thing would look really dope. Ah... Cant wait to finish law school lol I want more toys :bikewheelie2:

Man I grew up over there and played in that nature park/basin. Can't believe it overflowed into the neighborhood.

Lifted with 35s that thing would be a beast... only getting 9 MPG, ha! It sure would look great though, and that's what matters most, right!? ;-)

Right!? Apparently this happened once before back in 1996. When I learned about that incident it really made me angry knowing that they clearly didn't resolve the issue well enough to avoid it from happening again.

Youll average 10-12 around city, and MAYBE 15-17 on the highway with the Tundra. I took a hard look at the Tundra before I went Tacoma. Next time around Ill go F150.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    Oof. Sorry to hear OP.

A similar situation happened to a friend. Except he parked his car in an underground garage, which became a lake.

Damn, sorry about your loss. I live in Louisiana, so I'm scared for my truck whenever it pours (which it does like once a month).

Thanks for the input. Man, that's rough. I need to get better MPG than that. Perhaps I need to do some reevaluating on my end....
