Almost done with finals. So stressed out that I had to make stupid purchases. Just bought a dream lens: Canon 16-35mm f2.8 L! I've been shopping for one for a long time and pulled the trigger on it since it was $300 less than any other one on eBay.

Also bought a new microphone, lens, and tripod for the Youtube videos. I plan on making a 6 Minute Sunday video tomorrow on best first mods. I am thinking: Sliders + Skids, Tires, Recovery Gear, Lift (subjective), and one other thing (ideas welcome!).

Side notes: This color is looking super good! My buddy also got another husky and I help train/raise him, so I look forward to spending time with him. We still haven't come up with a name yet, but I think it's between Ghost, Storm, Atlas, and Apollo.

Went for a quick trip up Santiago Peak to find out the gate was closed. Whelp. New video comes out tonight - Was aiming to be a super fun offroad video but that idea got shot down ):

Damn thing flexes wherever I take it!

How was the ride quality with the B110s in the back? I'm thinking about doing the same thing with Kings up front and those in the back. I plan on that to hold me over until I can go full Kings in the rear as well.

It’s a solid “eh.” It’s stiff over bumps even fully loaded. I really do like the travel it has and it’s cheap which is a great thing. My Icon’s were smoother all around but these flex out well!

I figured it would be somewhat like that. What Icon's did you have?

I was heavily disappointed when nothing happened at the end of the video with the banana. I even watched it over again to make sure I didn’t miss anything

    2 questions my dude:

    1. Gonna chop the exhaust? Those things get wadded up easily when crawling, ask me how I know haha
    2. How are the 315's on stock gearing?

I’ve smacked the exhaust on a few rocks but somehow it’s still fine. I will cut it very soon once I go high clearance.

I actually really like the 35’s and stock gearing. It’s slow but my highway mpg is nice and I don’t feel like I’m really struggling. Very slow over inclines, but the pedal commander helps the shift points and the throttle input needed. It’s a night and day difference with it. I will regear once I add the go fast camper though - probably with 4.56 since I’m not going to 37’s.

Nice! i've been toying with the idea of 35's next year. but you know how that goes, once you regear then you want lockers. Then once i'm done with 35's i'll want LT and so on haha. Maybe go 35's on stock gears and break a ring gear, then i'm forced to upgrade haha

I honestly plan on keeping 35’s and stock gears for a long time - Dont let it stop you!

haha yeah, it's all about balance. how much will my mpg's suffer and how much stress will I be adding to everything just for a few extra inches of clearance. That being said i'll probs do it haha

I average 240-300 per tank - 240 all city, 300 all highway. Practically the same MPG I was getting on 33’s and 34’s.

Then again I drive ridiculously slow and 65mph tops.

Probably extra stress on drivetrain/axles/more. Maybe Shane or Ryan can comment more on it but in the end, it’s worth it.
