Whoever is 2WD will be haha. I seriously just want it off my truck. I have a huge trip coming up soon and I need the truck to be setup and reliable for it as my girlfriend won't be stoked if we're stranded haha

Do yourself a favor and do not get a +2 kit. Unless you 100% intend to take your truck on track width limited trails they are pointless.

It’s more than that - +3.5 requires glass, which doesn’t work with my bumper and snorkel. As well as most of the trails I go on are extremely narrow and a 3.5” kit would make things very complicated fitting through. +2 is the reasonable option and still being LT

:notsure: I'll giggle in a couple months after you sell your +2 kit for a +3.5 kit.

Trust me I’ve been deciding. It’s just hard with +3.5 to fit in these small ass trails.

I’m still in the fence don’t get me wrong, the benefits of +3.5 are far greater than +2.

How do you define "small ass trails" ? There's only a handful of seriously track width limited trails in the southwest. When I say "track width limited trail" I mean either you are going to get serious body damage doing the trail or you literally cannot fit through an obstacle with no bypass and as a result cannot even do the trail.

I see a lot of folks having shops put on +2 kits and it doesn't make any sense to me after having run mine for 2.5 years all over the southwest. There really isn't any good reason since those people will never do any technical crawling trails, much less the ones that a 3.5 kit would have serious trouble on.

Glass isn't as big of a deal as thinking later that you should have gotten a wider kit. Ditch the snorkel when you ditch the OEM fender. Bumpers aren't too hard to modify to work with or look aesthetic with wider fenders.....or just ditch the plate bumper and get a light weight tube bumper.

Are there any other benefits to a 3.5" kit over a +2" kit other than the obvious wheel travel difference and track width? What am I missing here?

TC 3.5 LT, RCV axles, Demello sliders, BD light bar/fogs, LP6, DMZ rear, SOS skids, custom bumper, King 16" triples, Locked-on hydro rear bumps...
I got a 3.5 tc kit and just having the extra droop to maintain contact makes a big deal on trail when crawling. As far as fast driving...the extra few inches of travel matter and you can really bomb stuff compared to a +2. Originally I had the plan to go +2 thinking similar with "what if I dont fit on trail?" As most on here have said...if you cant fit with a 3.5 kit and chance actual body damage as @tetten has stated then you probably shouldnt be there. My mirrors stick out more than my track width and yea I could fold them in...but if I get to that I would rather just bail and toss my pride. I dont mind pin stripes, but I dont care to turn my shit into a dented avocado, but Im more of a fast guy then a crawler. Personally, I love glass...nothing to trim when you go to dirty fives, simple to remove, and love the look. I did recently also add a snorkel and because you have to pipe it straight out of the fender...I actually like the snorkel now...regardless its very easily doable with everyday parts.

I have a buddy that has a +2 tc race front that I roll around with in AZ and his truck has bypasses front and rear and well tuned. He still has limits compared to my truck just due to travel and his can only handle so much. If the intention is to do the LT expo thing where you rock a +2 front and SOA rear and prefer the slow apps...then stay +2 as it fits for articulation purposes. For fast stuff, no question get the 3.5.

If glass costs too much to cross into the 3.5 realm...maybe its worth checking if LT makes sense as a kit is a considerable purchase on its own compared to running glass.

How are the peasants gonna know you're LT if you don't have raw white fenders for a while?
