I know normal retail price is 250-275 each from the bigger vendors. This was a private seller.

Yea the terrain here is similar, no places to where I can get any speed trying to decide wether to save a little or just by once cry once. Having a nice setup in front makes me realize how the ome sucks, thinking about swapping springs first and keep running these till I decide about a shock relocate.

Is it worth swapping the hangers like archive says it is? I know it sounds like a job

True I had ome 886 prior an it was a rough ride I’d save an do it all at once. I’ve had several setups if I had to do again I’d go ADS all the way around sticking with a mid travel setup. ADS also makes the smoothies as well an a little bit cheaper than kings.
I have not done the hanger yet I will get back to you once it’s completed.

Buy once cry once, trust me. Don’t do what I’ve done lol.

@Shmellmopwho can comment on the hammer hangers as he installs/has them. I believe he told me the rear end feels a lot more solid and the shimmy is gone.

My largest gripe with the rear OE fitment is they are so limited. The shocks are mounted so low that you physically can't fit a longer shock and keep your up travel. The relocation is the solution. You can gain significant travel numbers by relocating the shock. These trucks still don't offer a lot of bump travel at ride height though. :rain:

lol I'm learning thanks for being there doing that some bodies gotta.

Yea I've been watching your build and the relocate, that's probably the route I'm headed. Then I feel the rear will be way out doing the front never ending

My thread is pretty dead. I’m not nearly as cool as @SoCalTacoTruck with his folloing. It’s been awhile since I did my relocation but still love it.

I wouldn’t worry too much about that. The rear will flex a lot more but that’ll only help. It’ll also still be limited in higher speed driving due to the lack up bump travel

Ya know it's funny. I know I'm not getting the most out of my 14" triple bypasses in the back because of lack of bump travel with SOA. But I still love it. I'm going to mess with the shackle-leaf configuration to remedy it at some point.

Edit: this is where hydro bumps seem to make the most sense, if you're hitting the bumps a lot.

    I'm not following.

Putting bypasses on SOA is questionable being my understanding of the benefits of a bypass and our rear setups but everyone has their own desires. A bypass has, in a way, a hydro bump built in. The key to a bypass is how you mount it and the amount of time spent tunning. If you don't spend the time doing the proper install, or spend the time tuning them, then why pay the extra money for them?

A hydro bump is just adds another variable and things to tune.

Bypass works just fine on SOA pending you have the travel to tune it in (also depending on how your leaves like to arch). I've already spent a bit of time tuning them, and I gotta say it's pretty cool having the control on the tubes. However, I don't have much uptravel before I'm out of first compression tube and that just leaves the 2nd tube, so there's not really much tuning I can do for a bump zone right now. So it's either SUA or increase travel to bump.

The bold is what I am referring to. You're likely riding in the 2nd compression zone at ride height, or close to it, so you're loosing one of the main benefits of having a bypass.

Increase bump travel either means increased ride height or relocation of the lower shock mount. If you do the second, you'll loose travel elsewhere in the stroke.

I saw those, decent deal but it doesn't make sense for me with stock arms up front. Even with lack of bump travel and uptravel, the rear of my truck is outperforming the front, granted I have some spring tuning to do up front. Something is up with my front springs that I need to fix.

Yup, that's what I was refering to. I'm running essentially a 2 tube bypass until I change it. Still love it.

That's great! I'm glad you like your setup. I'm just having the conversation and expressing my thoughts.

You're good dude. With a triple bypass it would probably make sense to go with a 12" for tube positioning. But I like having the extra droop too, good for articulation.

Here's a note of little things I want to do this summer:
    1. Front end swap to 12-15
    2. New (lighter) bumper. Still picking the new bumper and hoping something pops up used.
    3. Prinsu
    4. Different rims with less offset

Why less offset? Aren’t you at -20 right now & probably less will get your rears close to the shock relocation? Is it because the front is extra wide now?

Also - HOW have you not been hitting your exhaust with your leafs. With your shock relocation back there I can’t imagine you would use up all that rear travel without hitting your tail pipe!
