I understand a faulty product since I work in a dealership. It happens. I more disappointed in the customer service end of it. I would have posted a positive feed back if they gotten back to me in a reasonable time period.

Had the same exact thing happen to me. Changed back to original. I sent them back and they sent me a new set. I have them sitting in my garage in their original packaging. I don’t think I am going to install them. Waste of money.

Coils in modern vehicles are all controlled by a computer. Now take my Tacoma garage buddy. Different coils can change power significantly. Not on my Tacoma. 06EBE3B1-D20F-40BF-A469-D4B05AB83D84.jpg

I can guarantee they work. I added these coil packs, after I did my intake and exhaust and it is mind blowing to me how good they are, yet there are still people saying, there's no way... ok. They definitely do what they claim at the least. About 2 weeks ago I added the tune from KDmax and I couldn't be happier. The tuner, (like most) said I could have skipped getting the coil packs). But I've tuned every vehicle I've had since 2008. Just putting them cool packs in my truck made it feel like it was turned. The tune just added throttle response, but more importantly it drastically helped out the transmission and got rid of the ridiculous gear hinting from the stock truck. I've had a monitor in my truck since I got it. The best I did stock was right at 232 hp. After the CAI, Exhaust and coil packs, the trucks putting out 267 hp. This is to the wheels. I haven't had the tune on for long enough to get a true average but I'll be coming soon with those numbers. The company should do a money back guarantee if you don't like them or think they don't give you what they claim. That's how good the cool packs are.

If they didn't create spark, I would return them, but unless they are adding more fuel and oxygen to the chamber through the spark plug, they do not increase power.

Sir, not a chance your “cold air” intake and exhaust added any measurable hp/tq. Not on a 3rd gen Tacoma anyway.

Only way these coils did anything is if you had a bad one to start. This topic has been beaten to death on boosted Mustangs and the consensus is there is nothing gained from aftermarket coils. Even on cars making triple the power of ours.

I'm personally running stock 20 year old coils on mine making over 500 hp with no issues.

Well, OP it looks like it’s us against the world. If I hadn’t replaced the weak oe coils I wouldn’t have believed it either. Good luck out there!

Just stumbled on this thread.. I believe you guys but don’t want to shell out $300 for a maybe. I used to run magnacore wires on my old Honda way back when and those were so good our Toyota tech thought I was running an ignition system, but nope, it was the quality of whatever was in the wires. Any mpg improvements for you guys with the coils?

You’re just going to have to buy some and find out for yourself, I guess. I’d like to see someone try the MSD coils.
