My bad, I was thinking of springs on my old truck that had a hole in the spring above the bottom one for the head of the rivet.

Ok so this is my preliminary plan. Install them without the rear shackle. Call the vendor and try to get a new pack sent out. Any danger by driving on them for a few days?

I just ran into this problem myself. How did you resolve your issue?

I installed them without the shackle and called it a day. I haven't noticed any problems at all.

Good to hear. I ground down the head of an Allen bolt to fit the rivet hole. But a washer on it, stuck it in the retainer and drove it into the rivet hole. Then put a lock nut on it. Seems like it should do the trick

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Did you happen to get a pic of this? I have this same issue and curious of your workaround.

I've been running them without the retainer since I created this thread and have had zero issues. Just a heads up in case you can't get a photo from Taco.
