Seems more ironic and the owner is bad at addition and subtraction... :p

but the gas is being refined by components using electricity, so it’s all balanced out.

nah these refineries are self generating with natural gas-fired combined cycle CHP units and typically require far more steam than electricity anyhow

That is precisely the case. Also fossil fuels to create bio-fuels in many cases, and 99% of all hydrogen is currently produced by using huge amount of heat and pressure to split natural gas into H2 & CO, then discarding the CO.

That looks smaller than the FJ, more along the lines of the FT-FX concept.

^^ is right, it looks more like the size of your standard hatchback, lifted, with big fender flares.

Has a Land Cruiser vibe to it. Not too bad looking.

??? I get 400 miles to the tank even in winter it's closer to 380 with only local trips.

Mind you, your Rivian will start with 250 miles of range when new... then less when it's cold or the batteries aren't cared for well or get old...

:notsure: not sure I understand your point, you might want to read what I posted and compare it to what you are saying...

ask yourself: self? is a 4cyl tacoma with no added weight in modifications and 265 tires considered a comparable average tacoma found on TW??

Average Tacoma on TW, but not the average Tacoma overall. Lots of Tacos here running around, most are stock. Including mine, and have no intention of hanging a bunch of bullshit off it either. I am averaging 21-22 mpgs. So nice not having to go to the gas station twice a week.

My 1st Gen gets 250 miles a tank, Rivian would be do able, but still kind of a pain in the ass. Though could charge at home, so may not be a huge issue as a daily. Would suck on trips loaded down pulling a trailer, because range would take a nose dive.

I think alot of people who are very concerned about the EV range, are likely overestimating how far they go when they leave their house. the average trip is way under 50 miles. This truck would therefore be vastly useful a huge majority of the time.

Is it the perfect road trip vehicle? absolutely not. Is this truck built to be a roadtrip vehicle? Sort of, so I get it.

Yep, my commute is 40 round trip. It certainly would work for a daily.

Do a lot of camping/moto trips. Looking at most of the places I go, could theoretically make it work. Still too risky worrying about being stranded.

Need one do it all vehicle, EV isn’t quite there yet. Maybe in 5-10 years they will be. They are still in their main stream infancy anyways. So not in any real hurry to run out and buy one.

Do like Toyota’s statement of “EVs for Everyone” as right now most are catered to the higher economic status demographic.
