Got most of the wiring for my fogs in last night. Got dark and i was tired, so called it quits. Will wire up the switch when i get home today. Mounting the relay was the most difficult since everything from the S/C seemed to be in the way. Got that figured out though, so shouldnt take long to finish up now!
Also, picking this A/T FJ T-case up tomorrow! :taco:

May try doing the install this weekend.. @hoverlover you have any plans for after CnC?

Nice! Sounds productive enough to me!

Yea, unfortunately I've got a full day of work. I'll have to leave CnC no later than 930 to make it in on time. After work, packing up and heading do to Lake Corpus Christi for some overnight fishing and camping, then literally hitting the road to Utah from there. It's going to be a stupid busy day tomorrow.

Gonna go adding an FJ case without me eh? I see how it is...

Just pulling your leg, take lots of pictures then you can come solve any problems I might run into

Also, can I borrow that 30mm socket when you're done with it? :p

Yep, gonna need it to split the case. That was my hang up last night. I was tempted to put some big ass channies or vice grips on it and tap it loose but decided that was a stupid idea lol

Yeah may just be something they dont list on their website tho. Whenever i find one, ill let u know where i got it from. Id be willing to pay the ridiculous 100% markup from an auto parts store if no one else has it. We shall see though

@hoverlover got a 30mm 6 sided socket at Vatozone tonight.. May give it a go tearing into the FJ case tomorrow. Still trying to figure out the best way to cut my floor for the shifter.. Wonder if a dremel would work with the right tip?

2.5" hole saw should do a very nice, clean job of things

Hole saw sounds pretty easy, may end up doing this! Also think i got a lead on a 6spd FJ trans and t-case so may be going AWD sooner than later.. Its in pasadena if it's still available.

Also, If i swap in my fj case without deleting the ADD, will i still have 2low, just no 4wd technically because the add wouldnt be engaging and only the tcase would engage high/low range? Trying to figure out if id be able to test if everything was working if i put the fj case in tomorrow or if i should just wait. The suspense is killing me

Don't know if this will help you but
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/prerunner-to-4x4-conversion-guide.534480/#post-17168337
    My suggestion:
Butt the bellhousing against the engine, raise it a bit and mark center of where the shifter will be on the bottom of floor pan. Remove the trans and drill a hole up into the floor at that mark, then go in the cab and use that hole as center for a 4" Hole Dozer. I'd even drill 1/2" back from that hole, knowing what I know now.

Definitely going to use that guide, appreciate the link man! I am going to try and do what you said, but only without pulling the trans (because so much crap has to come off to drop the 6spd). I think it should be able to be done, may just take a little more time/fitment.

Do you know if my theory about installing the fj case without modifying the ADD would work temporarily? I wouldnt have 4wd obviously, but would i be able to engage low to test functionality of the case?

Sorry, I was thinking you were doing 4x4 conversion too but you already have it, you're just swapping t-cases. I would do the same with the t-case: drop the other, butt new against transmission and mark center of shifter ...

Yes of course but you should be able to turn it by hand uninstalled and see the outputs' rotation difference

I'm considering swapping my 5-speed/FJ t-case for the A340 and 4Runner V6 t-case but haven't looked yet what i'll need to do to get the case to work properly, I've figured the auto swap out. I don't have ADD so I would have to figure that out
