Installed my Grillcraft today :D I really like the look of it. Gonna wait til it gets a bit warmer around here to paint the rad and behind the grille. Also need to touch up the paint on my grille as well. Still shopping around for the right emblem too!

Got my screened 4" deck plate mod done ;) Was a bitch to do taking into account my lack of skill and lack of tools, but it's complete. Gonna let the RTV sealant to cure until later tomorrow before putting the air box back in my truck.

Should be installing the new headlights tomorrow. Will play around and compare the bulbs while I'm at it. Got my stock ones in my ugly assemblies now, another pair that came with the headlights, and then the Philips X-treme Power that came in yesterday

Painted the outer ring black and installed back into the truck. Haven't taken it out for a drive yet.

Painted the radiator and behind the grille and also installed the new headlights at Philips X-treme Power bulbs. Damn they're bright! but not necessarily white. I still need to aim them but idk what tool to use that fits behind there to get to the 2 bolts per side :notsure: My socket wrench with the step down adapters don't fit back there.

These are the low beams, but are aimed up way to high. Need to adjust.

I almost bought some of those today... I really hate the ugly yellow bubls I have now, but I made myself not buy it since I plan to retrofit this summer...

Are you planning on color matching the grille surround? Also I remember you saying you were looking for aftermarket corner lights, have you thought about just tinting your stock ones? I did it too mine and think it looks better than the black casing ones, plus it's cheaper :D Trucks looking good though bro!

    What up Trigo!

Naw man I haven't thought about color matching the surround. I saw stumpjumper509's color matched 98-00 w/grillcraft and I'm not sure if I like it :notsure:

Oh and as for the corners. I ordered the black casing ones with the amber reflector but are back ordered for like another month at least. I'm not sure if I wanna just leave the stock corners on because they don't look too bad. Idk yet though, still got time to cancel my order :p

Thanks man! This is the deck plate I got http://www.lfsmarineoutdoor.com/sea-dog-4-screw-out-deck-plate-w-clear-cover.html Came out to about $12 shipped and comes with the clear cap.

Oh and for the screen, since Home Depot sold screen mesh by the buttload and I only needed it for this sooooooo... let's just say the GF has to be more careful when frying foods :D  :p

Swapped out the Philips X-treme Power bulbs for Philips CrystalVision Ultra bulbs :)

It appears that they are just a tad brighter than the X-tremes and noticeably whiter (less of the yellowish output). Might go take it out for a drive tonight to see how they are when driving.

This photo really doesn't help at all but oh well :p

How much did those cost you? I'm really tired of my ugly yellow bulbs after seeing everybody else with white... Haha

Got em off Amazon... bought the X-treme Powers and then have to return them. So basically it was an exchange that kind of evened out after tacking on shipping for the CrystalVisions.

    The CrystalVision Ultra's cost $23.04
    http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9003-...&newCar=1&s=automotive&vehicleType=automotive

...and the X-treme Powers cost $29.59

Here's some comparison photos of the Philips bulbs. I'm glad I switched to the CrystalVision Ultra's. You can tell that they look much clear and white and are just as bright, maybe a little brighter.

Though I cannot vouch for the how much life I will get out of these. Hopefully, I'm lucky and will have them for a while. If not, they only costed me about $25 or so from Amazon :D
