I am now a huge advocate for road force balancing. After installing my Bilstein 5100s, OME 887s, and LR UCAs a couple weeks ago and getting the 285s mounted and balanced (on SCS SR8s), i really didn't have any vibrations other than a weird wobble feeling at certain speeds. It didn't really feel much like a driveline issue, but even if it was I decided to give the road force a shot first, couldn't hurt. I had 4wp do my alignment post lift, and they were able to get the numbers near perfect (0 Toe, 0 Camber, between 2 and 3 caster) and they highly reccomended Discount Tire for the road force. Upon leaving Discount Tire yesterday afternoon, they told me "that it was one of the worst balances they had ever seen" lol - I won't name the shop that I went to the first time, because they also damaged the rims (brand new in box) and then tried to play it as if I brought them like that. They ended up paying for my visit that afternoon, as well as the repairs at a local rim shop. I noticed a night and day difference as soon as i left the shop after road force. Really happy that the road force seemed to take care of any issues i was having. (Obviously your first balance from the shop may not have been as bad as mine) There is still a verrrrry faint vibration upon take off, which i assume is the carrier bearing or something related. I willl address it eventually, but it is so minor at this point, im not too concerned. Road Force FTW!!!! :D

I had a shop try to balance my wheels a few years ago. They had put wheel weights 1/3 around the entire inner wheel to try and balance it. Another shop fixed it and pointed out the mistake. Its hard to believe that a tire shop, all they do is mount tires and balance them, dont know how to do it correctly.

Road force balance is the stuff. I had a 2013 FJ that would shake and develope a steering wheel wobble at speeds over 45. After i installed lift and wheels and tires. I tried to get them balanced by several different shops with no luck. Then a buddy of mine suggest road force. I had it done and the fj road smooth as butter after i did it. Money well spent. Was driving me crazy untill i had it done.

Same here, sears installed balanced my KO2s and they just didn't feel right at highway speeds. Had the road force done for $40 by toyota and have been good for about 12k miles now. This is not an endorsement for Toyota service.

I had a set of aggressive mud terrains on a work truck that were getting horrible shakes and shimmies that the mom and pop shop couldn't fix. I took them in for a road force balance at a dealership and I drove away riding smooth as glass.
