You're "far from stupid" but you can't count your cars even tho there's only 6 (or 7?), you think the 3rd gens have a 4.0, you're going to spend $1-2k on a full page add in a goddamned newspaper (nobody reads newspaper anymore, dude), and you can't figure out the proper use of your/you're?

Your(e) either very close to stupid or a troll. Either way, ignored.

most of the noise comes from the cab vents that are located behind the back seat ( behind the factory fabric cover/plastic.) If you keep your a/c on recirculate the vents seem to partially close and less road noise is the result. We shouldn't be going thru this but Toyota as always will make us suffer. Never the less I still like my truck and hope these bugs get fixed or I'm jumping ship!

They still have me suffering daily, as they refuse to honor my request to purchase a V8 turbo diesel 79 series from them.

Have you taken a close look at those vents? Very thin material and flimsy. It's not a mechanical vent that opens and closes based on a switch position, it opens and closes based on air pressure. They don't seal the vents when closed and will do little if anything to stop noise from coming in.
