The issues are the cab vents and the door gaskets.

Took some time to nail down the issues that lead to 110 db of road noise in the cab.

First issue is the cab vents that are cheap and they let road noise in the access cab.

You must fashion some plugs from insulation. 2 1/4 by 12 inches 2 of them and install them
    in the vents.

Second issue is Toyota decided to just clip on all the door gaskets with snaps every 6 inches
instead of gluing them. They all leak air terribly

The dealer is removing all gaskets off the doors and gluing them on this will fix the noise.

My truck is better with the cab vents plugged but allows you to hear the terrible wind noise
    from the doors.
Toyota did the poorest of jobs on this new truck.

I do like the truck otherwise.

Update the truck is back at the dealer. The plugs in the cab vents were soaked with water. The regional field rep is coming to look at and drive my truck.

My dealership's service advisor and I agreed this morning that my truck really has no fix. Since the vents had been ordered and examined and are the same as the ones already installed.
The loose door gaskets are another issue. Then need to be glued on

Once the Toyota rep drives it and hears just how bad 110 db of noise really is I expect them to refund the purchase price or replace the truck.
This truck was made in the Texas factory

Is the dealer actually doing all that free of charge? If they are that's pretty cool, as it doesn't seem like they "have to". It's not warranty work, more like cosmetic upgrades to the stock set-up

Yes the dealer is great. Toyota is terrible.

The dealer tech and service manager and service advisor all said my truck was the worst they have been in.
Then Toyota writes me that the dealer says my truck is normal.

Toyota is the worst. Never another but this truck needs fixed or I can't drive it or sell it.
The lawyer says he can lemon it back but I want to fix it. So the door gaskets all getting glued on.

Cannot believe more are not bugged by the wind noise from the doors.
My 2015 GMC 1500 is so much more quiet.

This is the same bullshit you posted in other threads with the 110 dB of road noise. You're literally talking about having near jet-engine noise in cab, which means that you are totally full of shit. Why are you starting threads with the same obviously false statements and debunked arguments.

The new GM trucks are extremely quiet inside. You're going to have a hard time getting a Tacoma that quiet

That doesn't mean that he's not full of shit with his "110 dB" inside the cab measured on his "iPhone DB Meter".

I measured my in cab db with an iPhone, it was around 50-55 iirc.

I don't even think it would be 110 if I rolled the windows down at 70 mph and turned the stereo all the way up...

You're right, and this freakin genius is talking about having something the equivalent of a jet engine in noise in the cab with him.

To put things in perspective, a Ferrari F40 measures 99dB in the driver's seat at full throttle, according to Road & Track testing. That's with the turbo V8 right behind your ear.

Access cab here, quietest Toyota truck I've owned, and I've had a bunch.

I would not plug the vents. If the air bags need to deploy, plugging vents could slow them down.

Anxious to hear if this solves your noise issue, as I have a noise issue (sounds similar to having a door not shut all the way). I did work on the rear vents. First I tried sealing around the edges of vent with silicone as they fit loosely. Sprayed the whole back wall with insulation (boom-mat), blocked off 4 of the 8 vents. Put it back together and NO difference. Then blocked off all the vents -- NO difference. Considered the rear door seals, but they looked OK. Noticed the way they were attached (not glued, but snaps every 6" or so, as you say). Perhaps that is an issue. If your dealer does this fix, and it works for you please post here. I am hesitant to glue them all myself, if it is not a real fix..

PS. I am not overthinking this issue. Its real for me and quite noticeable in an otherwise fine vehicle. I do not notice any vibration or transmission delay issues that many others have mentioned, so I do not think I am overly sensitive. ITS NOISY....
