Somewhat, I'm quite close to the rear wheels. But really though, its a 20 year old small truck. They built them different back then, and quiet as a tomb was not as big of a selling point.

I think @GQ7227 does. He’s always complaining about the roads

    i see!

i am trying to help somebody in CA that says he cannot even hear the radio in his truck while on the highway!
there is only one spot in Iowa I can recall that the decibel level goes way way up to the point of being a pain to drive on 80, its the pavement in that county or pretty sure
other than that, i have no real complaints and my hearing is very decent still

but the stuff i have sprayed under my truck is really only used in the cold weather states for weatherproofing but may also double as soundproofing :notsure:
and still i see so very few on TW that have sprayed stuff under the cab floorpan and under the bed

i really don't wanna rec something to him without being totally sure that this stuff has a noise proofing effect

    weird!
i have duratracs now for almost 25k miles and they are not abnormally loud, i need to hit them on that stretch outside of Des Moines again, where the pavement changes and decibels shoot way up, only been through there maybe 3x in the past year

but at 80-90mph the engine noise may muffle the tires

Iowa seems to have a lot of fun with road surfaces. Some of them are cut in super noisy ways. Others, not so much.

I have a 100000 mile 2015 gen 2 dcsb. I had not done u joints until I felt vibes from where the transfer case is. That front u was completely nuked in one lobe nothing but dust. I was shocked at how much quieter the truck was after full drive shaft rebuild. I have MTs and they are loud but I do front wheel bearings every two years. That also makes a lot of noise when no good. The heavy tires coupled with offset wheels and stiff lifted springs really wreaks havoc then throw in dramatic winter temp swings from -30-+40F. And salt and mud and water really wrecks everything. Good luck but that’s where I’d start.
