Road Rage - how would you have reacted?

I'd of been like 'pew pew pew', then like 'woah!' then like 'squeal, burn rubber, more tire squeal', then like "OMG!" then I'd do a after that I'd have a beer.

 

Had a similar situation happen to me a while back when I had my little civic hatch back. Pulling into a shopping center with the girlfriend a car full of ese's pulling out decide it'll be funny to aim their car at mine and not let me pull in. They backed the car up and as I'm pulling in again he gases it towards me again. At this point, leaning with both hands on my steering wheel I give the driver a death stare. He didn't like me "mad dogging" him and tells me to pull in...I oblige. He and two of his homies jump out of the car not realizing that, crammed into this tiny civic, is actually a guy that's 6'4" and 230lbs. As soon as I get out of my car, all three of them run behind their cars. I tell em directly to their faces that I'm going to fuck all three of them up. I tell all three of them to step forward whenever they would like to get knocked out. The scrawny little guy(driver) says let's go to the alley and handle this. I say stop being a pussy and let's do this right here. No sooner than I finished saying that another of their homies steps out from the Mexican restaurant we were in front of and tells his friends to get the fuck outta here. (must've been their OG).
I grew up In this neighborhood and a couple weeks later while I was at a friend's house a block away from the incident, with a couple friends, I see a group of about 20 guys with bats n crow bars walking up the street. It's the driver, his two friends and his homies. He walks up to me and says I hear you're talking shit about me. I say, yeah, I was telling my friends how I was about to fuck you and your two homies up...and the offer still stands. He says he doesn't know me or what I'm talking about so I refresh his memory. I told him he has two choice, either he can stop fronting and drop it, or I'm gonna fuck him up every time I see him around the neighborhood. He tells me "chale holmes" then tries to give me five.
I heard later his own homies jumped him for pussying out of a fight.
This did happen when I was young and my ego was too big to contain, I've since chilled out. But I hate mfers that talk shit then when called out are really giant vaginas.
Anyways, now...I just allow the dumbass drivers to do what they do...eventually they'll get into an accident and die.

Anyways, OP, since guns are a no-no there, I probably would have done just what your brother did- pull out the closest, most-menacing looking object around. Which for me is easy- I always have my work hammer within arm's reach.

 

I decided to put my flashlight in my truck with this being one of the several reasons why. It's a non-threating, non-harming, surprising move should something like this ever occur.

I carry my Stinger LED between work/truck.

It has a strobe function with 2 clicks of the push button.

Something ever did happen. I figure 180 Lumens of strobing light in someone's face would get me enough time to get out of the situation.

I made a mount for it out of the coin tray to the right of the steering wheel. Cut a hole in the back. Very accessable from that spot.

I'm In construction so i can get away with carrying it if a cop asks. But I carry this thing instead, its about as menacing as a hammer can get

 

I had a situation similar a few months ago when I had my mini cooper.

Guy in a blacked out benz was riding my ass on a one way street, as soon as it becomes two way he guns it, mouthing abuse and giving me the bird. I smiled at him. Two minutes later I see him at the stop light, he gets out of his car, 6'2 Persian dude. Comes up to my car like he wants to fight, I wind my window down, and calmly say, 'you need to think about what you are about to do, because if I get out of my car, I WILL fuck you up and you WILL be going home in an ambulance, I don't want to, but if you step closer I will have to'.

This was all a front, pretty sure the guy would have kicked my ass, I know how to fight, but physics alone says the odds are in his favor! Anyway, to my surprise he stops walking, and with his girlfriend in the background telling him to get back in the car, he gives it the 'you're not fucking worth it bro'.

Not gonna lie, I breathed a sigh of relief, I hate these pricks who drive like they own the road and seem to want to genuinely fight people, wtf is so sad in their lives that would make them be so angry? he was pretty big so I'm gonna go ahead and say roid rage haha

Anyway, my advice to your brother if this happens again? Stay in the car, take his plate number, and make like he's calling the police... crack the window and tell him so. Nobody ever changed the world by having a fight in the street... let's be honest, no matter how old you are, that's a pretty bad state of affairs... just be thankful that you have enough contentment in your world to not be so angry!

 

if i was you, and saw that going down i would have called the cops and told them that the cut your brother off that was behind you and had got at of his truck in an aggressive manner. and after we got thru red light try and get behind him and get his tag number. and got your brother to follow you and the guy till the cops came and stop behind the cops.

 

I found your story very enjoyable because I am a 6'2" 290lb persian guy.

But yeah most of us are DB's who drive benzes and think we own the road, because that's how people drive in Iran. no excuse.

id do the same thing as your brother. most of the time the other people are considerably large than me. a nice fat 1/2" ratchet is a good deterrent. down here not to many people carry gun. if that fails, take him on a wild goose chase (lowered tC would rape a titan through the turns) and hope he either looses you or crashes trying too. but i tend to be a complete douche if anyone pisses me off.

I had a bunch of bozos in a big FORD econline line cut me off twice in a merging lane, there was tons of lane left and I was gonna go by him, in no way could i have ever cut him off if he maintained his current speed. Went to the right, he blocked, went to the left, he blocked, college jock assholes in the back seats laughing at me. So I did nothing until i could pass his going into the Caldacott Tunnel, as i went past he looked at me, I gave him the finger then jumped in front of him about 3 truck lengths ahead (about 60 feet), then I gave him a four-second dose of the big rear facing KC's (260 watts), right in his face. He checked up but didn't stop, and I shut 'er down and took off, didn't see hide nor hair of those motherfuckers ever again.

I have a problem when people do this. What do you want to do? Fight? You think the cops won't arrive and there aren't any witnesses? Let it go tough guy and GTFO. This goes for both parties. Honestly if someone does this shit do me I'd probably just drive away. If they hit my car with something, I'll follow them, get thier plate and call the cops.

However, around here where I live, the cops probably won't show up. If they do it'll take a few hours, or days. I learned the hard way that I need to deal with shit myself around here, unfortunately.
