Also with the covid restrictions, you leaving The NWT to travel through Alberta/B.C./Yukon will result in you needing to isolate for 2 weeks in the NWT prior to you travelling to another community.

    good point about that one.

It's a good consideration to take and also good to know in general where it's 2 weeks per community up there (this is what my understanding is).
Hopefully the Pandemic restriction is lifted in 10 month's time for the planned group expedition...

my understanding from the protect NWT is that they are keeping the borders closed until a vaccine is available/administered to the population. but hopefully that’s relatively soon

Yup. I’m not so much worried about the logistics as I am the tires. Freeze and breakup are approximately 6 weeks each.
    https://www.inf.gov.nt.ca/en/ferries
Historical data is available. I figure if I’m up by the 15th then I’m safe. The government gives 24-48hrs notice of ice road or ferry crossing closures. I would just have to check the status before leaving Whitehorse or Dawson.

Essential service worker :) so yes and no. I can work with a mask, go for walks with my dog and Otherwise stay in my home. Coworkers will grab my groceries.

I actually have to isolate twice as I’m leaving the NWT this month as well. So it is what it is.

Just calculated roughly the fuel cost for a round trip from Toronto to Tuk. and back. 2400 at best to 3k at the most. that is just fuel.
so its about a $4k trip is my guess.
Plus spare parts, an full size spare tire ect.
this might turn out to be a $5000 dollar trip...

Yup, it won't be cheap with fuel being the biggest expense. Plan for more and then you will be covered in case of unexpected costs.

Whatever works for everyone, I'm on board.

This would be I. It was a great trip. Ford gave me what seemed like such a sweet deal instead of trading my 2009 reg cab taco for an extended cab 2014 i went f150... looking back now it was not the perfect trade but the truck really did what i needed of it on the trip. to add some fuel to this fire i'm rolling in a 2020 zr2 diesel now.......!!! which will be rolling up the trans taiga next week for a little escape
