Road trip.

I'm taking a 4-5 week road trip this summer and I'll be going through Northern California. If anyone can give me some tips and pointers about what I definitely need to do or see I'd appreciate it. I started a dedicated thread for the entire trip here:

road driving or forest trails?

 

Road. Too far for forest trails, and too much risk involved with too much driving off road that far from home.

Yosemite for sure.

 

I second this. I was just there a few weeks ago and it is pretty damn amazing right now with all the water we received this year.

oh, I would go to Lake Tahoe Emerald bay.

 

my pic was yosemite falls too. Taken from Sentinel Dome. Which for a mile hike has the best payoff in views. Way less crowded than glacier point.

OP if you have the time I'd recommend the Sentinel Dome hike.

 

I would recommend Mammoth lakes area as well.

another place I thought was cool just for a short day trip was Shasta caverns.
