I just picked up a 2019 Off-road and will be taking it on a 4K mi road trip in a month. Is there any maintenance that I should do before or during the trip? The truck will have 1k miles on it when I leave.

    Thanks

I like to wax heavily prior to road trips. I tell my wife that it helps the truck "slip thru the air"! Enjoy.

Check your windshield washer fluid level, make sure your mail delivery is handled and lock your doors.

Drive cautiously, and try to count all the weird things. Rate them 1-10. You'll notice stuff you'd never even see, otherwise.

Just look it over good, check oil, tire pressure, etc. And hit the road!

Enjoy the trip and get it serviced afterwards. The only thing you need to do is take photos so you can post them to TW later

5-1 says your tires are over inflated from the dealership.

Correct that and use a chalk test to select the right pressure for you.

7-1 says spare is underinflated. Correct that too. Just in case.

Thanks for all of the info!

My pop, my dog and I are going from Arizona to North Dakota to hunt pheasants. It will be an awesome trip and was the final deciding factor of getting this truck. I do have the ability to put a lift on it, but I may just wait until we return.
