After the "fix", we drove out to go mountain biking and were grateful not to be riding in a tow truck to SLC. Looks like the remainder of our vacation is on track! Thanks again for all the suggestions and good thoughts

Isn't John Stockton the floor manager over there?

This reminded me to check my lug nuts, mine weren't tight but snug at 1500 miles.

Didn't use a torque wrench, just basing it off of feel, all took a 1/8 turn.

    not enough.
Jerry Sloan is the general manager. John Stockton must be the floor manager.

Funny thing, there used to be a "Stockton to Malone Honda" which is now just Stockton 12 Honda.

    Just a follow up.....
It occurred to me yesterday that a week before our trip I installed mud flaps on the TRD. I had to remove the front wheels to get those done, easy enough. I then removed the right rear wheel to put that flap on. Having done that, I realized that it would have been simpler to leave the rear wheel on, as there is plenty of access to the mounting points vs the front wheels.
I never did remove the left rear wheel and installed that flap with the wheel on. I torqued all of the wheels I removed but not the afflicted one. I now can only wonder if all of the wheels were ready to self-remove.
Yes, I'm counting my blessings now.
