Well I never planned on making a build thread, but being stuck in a hotel room for 2 weeks changes things... so it won't be to detailed of a build as I'm trying to pull everything from memory.

    It's a 2008 dclb sport edition.
How she sits today... people who know me will get a laugh...
    11abb9fdd9654dffa8d6eca73a68dbd7_b99339badf5d950cbf33c0a801da3794277b9837.jpg

that's a joke, here is how she sat when I made the build thread

    b8c9f1696bdf51e4a760a3acabf4729c_25784f9f0256c86c3fbea9dbd0c3b51348762066.jpg

In 2010 I found tacomaworld and things changed. I wasn't into the off road scene as most of the people around me try to make show trucks, so I decided I was gonna do that. Bought a spacer lift and got some 20s son! Rode around town like that for a while, picked up some eBay headlights and upgraded my stereo system

    b73b4b36c0be81df4579866c78921f44_7158889e6f071eb655534989e23102ba6f501ec0.jpg

Next I decided I was gonna put Fox shocks on because all the cool kids where doing it! So I picked up some used Fox 2.0s front and new rears

    9d5c42ab21ac91d11f51f0299e39f849_634a08e3aa684f09ac2e167ad29b4cc4ce1557ed.jpg

After that I did a few little mods here and there and then I got in on a group buy for a brute force front bumper... little did I know that was going to change everything! While chatting in the group buy I met the biggest Dick in the world: Gideon (allmotorrex). He told me that I was gonna go to Arkansas for the southern rock racing searies... In the mean time the bumper came in.

    d1a0d265315bee1381408fd3b65d1128_fc25a185c6b522e4f18ab4f57a033b84ca63bfe1.jpg

Stayed like that till I went on the trip to Arkansas and saw the light! Knew instantly as soon as I got home the Damn 20s where coming off! So I bought some cheap wheels

    1317d3e3c3bab012b9e0ebd67ee19e92_c3f312bc67c26911a569a7eac7f0634cc9fc90b3.jpg

While I was waiting for tires to come in I picked up some other goodies

    2295f0ad923f38bac63f91e88e4d72cc_4e2daddc481ab80aabfdda8c7c7132ef74789110.jpg

    Finally the tires arrived!

Apparently somewhere in the mix I also got a rigid 10" e series bar and put my old headlights back in and did the bhlm.

Had to test out the new tires and while I was out and about something bad happened!

Damn blocks! Thankfully the night before my first wheeling trip these came in!

Then off to slade, ky where I met another fellow named cody (sk8erjess), little did I know how much of a impact he would have on my build!

    db0dbe69261b4aec6269b8164f22787b_e464d7271f9266f19f1731c3acc9afe5b5ed8d78.jpg

    Cody got stuck haha

So after that trip I knew I was gonna need armor so I ordered skids, rear bumper (trail gear), and sliders. Waited for ever for them to show up. However bamf had a quick delivery with is lca skids. Then the next off road meet came and it was a blast.

After the meet I got camburg ball joint uca and the sliders showed up

Then I got bored and cody suggested tube doors, so why not?! Also picked up an engo 9000 winch on sale so it turned into a mini mod day

Then cody and I decided to go to Harlan Ky.

Decided I loved it there and the Tennessee thread decided to have a meet there in the fall. So time to collect parts.

Ecgs put on a group buy so 4.56 with arb locker in the front and couldn't afford anything to lock the rear at that moment. Didn't get a rear locker put in before the meet. But still had fun! Also did a retrofit somewhere before this meet.

Also did something stupid and asked the gf to marry me.
    b786d151ed70e86969efadabf9b04be5_c0e518c591127488d1ab84fe827e93e9d85fe28e.jpg

When I got back from the trip ordered my Detroit locker.

Got it installed and was in a hurry to try it out. So I went to wishbone ranch in bowling green.

Decided I liked a tree to much so then all bets where off time to get to business so I ordered 35s. And day I put them on got to put them to the test to go pull out a buddy. Didn't get a pic of the recovery though :(

    1dcdc23a2df360661872083e527e75c7_08387da9cc1c0c82a66a6720c40fa63d3f459280.jpg
    35s...

Then went to Turkey bay to give them the test.

    0704bf3100cc99155503a242fd9a79d8_da3d65a3322f5847f9aaf029f37e787477f394e7.jpg

Had fun so memorial day Gideon and I went back!

    57337a963818c604104eff9c3b174403_0bc4da792dd797596250136b56c0c896cbb1732b.jpg

That was the trip where I decided it was time for an over hall!

So I ordered a shackle flip kit, and some 4" shackles for a jeep. Decided I was gonna tackle the project about a month before Tennessee's fall meet.

Figured taking the bed off would make things easier.
    5137e1a72ad3b2b01415c0c80631a171_40c1df05d2caef4af91819d4e0dd7bbb8d9645d3.jpg

So I started on taking the rivets out for the old shackles when I was told I would be going to the virgin island for work.

    9d23aaca4c18bb6e3411b9e117895050_9b05f3a8a6d078e99a59a6fd48a16c471e189d81.jpg

While I was there I bought some foa 2.5 rear shocks and used front icon 2.5s. Both where sitting at the door when I got home.

    3372c2c2743f6d3930b30452f3cb2dc4_ea97941ba8a44caf8f314ba9039d64d451d078d9.jpg

So made some new shock mounts and finished up the rear.

Then installed the front and had about a day to spare before windrock. Which is the most recent trip. Finally got to test out the new set up.

Got into a tree... saved the cab, bed picked up a new dent.

    And then... drum roll please...

Bent my tie rod right as night was setting. Thank you everyone who helped! Got it fixed and made it back to camp about 11 at night.

After the trip a new rack n pinion is needed (leaking and bent), New drive shaft as mine has a nice dent, and my passenger icon needs a rebuild.

Then about two week ago on my way home I heard metal scrapping and noticed the drive line picked up a vib. When I got home a buddy came over and we listened to it and then BOOM! Sure enough rear diff exploded...So limped home in front wheel drive and pulled it apart.

    7033431c3b49080caede30c46eb7e933_de052f4f284563605caa06b48d3ab86c228f0421.jpg

The bolts in the Detroit backed out... and they where not messed with during install. Only thing I can come up with is Eaton forgot to put loc tight on the bolts... either way they replaced it and the new diff is waiting for me when I get home.

Now everyone is caught up haha

Just noticed how both of our builds seemed to kick off after meeting or talking to Gideon...... it's like he spends our money for us.
