Also working on a new tie rod set up. Using camburg clevis ends for the rack side, I used 3/4 heim adapted to 1.25x.120 wall Dom tube to another tube adapter and fj80 tie rod end. Of course there is a different taper between the two ball joints. To fix that my dad and I milled the spindle out to .850 and I'm going to have a machine shop make a bushing that will press into spindle and match the new taper.

So update on the steering. It's basically finished and waiting to go together this weekend.
    20180913_191636.jpg
Had the shims made today and came home to install them. Here is the ball joint fully seated.
    20180913_192519.jpg 20180913_192523.jpg
Then I decided since the spindle was off might as well add some more gussets!
    20180913_202727.jpg
Do I'll show finished product this weekend.

If anyone is interested in this setup I can give you links to parts as well as other options instead of fj80 tie rod ends.

Suppose someone were to hypothetically give you a set of spindles and a set of gussets and you were to hypothetically weld them. What would you hypothetically charge for such a service?

Make sure you film every time you're using that compressor.

Got the new coils installed. Hoping with the new coils, new lower uniball installed, and new tie rods this thing handles like a new truck. Time will tell here shortly! 20180921_181834.jpg
