Still leaking on you? What other solutions did you brainstorm?

I agree the latches might not be pulling down enough, one of mine was busted but surprisingly that side had the least amount of noticeable water seeping in. The gaskets are in near perfect condition as far as I see im going to seal the window with some vynil tape in the inside and ride like that for a while

I might try adding a little sticky foam to the windows....might look tacky, but it might work

Pulled the trim off passenger window
    Did not like the discovery.

rust eating through most of 1 and the surface of the other of the 2 pressed layers of the cab in that area

Going to clean it up and get some rust converter tomorrow to stop it then get seam seal the trim back on to hopefully stop the pooling of water under it

Cleaned up and primed the rust, then went over the perimeter with auto body and trim sealant and popped the trim over it. Have to find a way to keep and eye on it and make sure it seals

I think I'm going to try shimming between where the latch meets the body by throwing a few washers in there. This should pull the latch further inwards hopefully creating enough pressure to seal.

if you can I would check under the trim, from what i found it looks like some spots have less/ no glue or sealant between the trim and the cab metal and thats my guess as to how the water started to get in

I'll check that too, but I can push my window in quite a ways. And just sitting in its latched position, I can see a very slight gap between the glass and rubber. I bet this has something to do with the whistling I get o the highway.

It is very quickly becoming one of my more expensive pursuits. But totally worth it. Itll be even better once I can get my skills up to match the bike

Yeah, I’d love to get into it again, especially since I’m pretty certain I won’t be getting back into snowboarding any time soon. There are so many good trails around here and back home where I grew up has some of the best technical riding in the country.

But I won’t even think about another hobby until I finish school. Life is crazy enough as it is!

Anyway, glad to see you and the truck are still going strong. I have my bed rack and RTT off for the off-season and it blows my mind how are trucks are damn near twins :D

I feel the school thing. Im about 2 months fronm graduation and I am all but checked out lol.

The bike has been a good outlet to get myself out of my head. But hey if you feel like making some poor choices then pick one up! Ill come out that direction this summer and well go ride. picking the sport back up has to be easier that going into it blind like I did.

    :fistbump:Twin powers activate!
The truck has been a superb street queen! Im amazed how well a 200k+ engine responded to boost. It’ll be great when I can start putting some focus on her again too this summer

I am Attempting to make my own roof rack
Got the rough dimensions done today using cardboard and framing jig along with the 1020 aluminum cross bars purchased from Tnutz.com. They actually sell cut to length package for prinsu racks.
    Next steps will be:
    1. finish the modeling
    2. print and cut again out of carboard to verify the fitment
    3. Finalize mounting point locations
    4. Send for laser cut

Once I have the height of the rack decided, I will finalize dimensions for the new bed rack to match the roof rack height.

    Other update:
I was also planning on sending the models for pieces needed for a rear swingout for cut and bend too but that will have to wait this year. Metal is crazy pricey right now. The metal suppliers I talked to dont see any reduction until late this year-summer next year maybe....
