That shit happened to me when I was a kid in HS working at a tire store, I somehow got a piece of metal in my eye. Didn't know it till probably a week later I was in the middle of a surf contest and pretty much went blind it was so irritated from the salt water, went to the doc put my head in some weird clamp device the plucked the metal out and buffed it with some sort of dremel :rofl:Hurt like shit once the pain meds wore off....anyways  To ur pops for such a killer gift! Looking good bro!

Yikes! I'm not letting anyone near my eye with a dremmel lol. luckily I caught it early and the doc was able to get it out and clean the rust with a little eye scraper tool he had. Hes got me putting these antibacteria drops in that pretty much makes it look like my left eye is under water.
Also just realized we have the same name!

The trucks first big trip out on 35s
The frowning stock aal springs are holding up to 300+ lbs of gear pretty well actually. Ill report success or carnage when I get back

    Carnage report already. Lol
Truck threw a code P0770. Tourque converter doesnt like all the added weight from tires, skids and gear, Just got to ease up on the incline hills it shouldn't come back on

Hey friend thank ya! I honestly feel I cut more fender than necessary but I suppose this wheeling trip will tell me how good I did. I have high hopes that my tires wont completely eat my modified flares.... I really like how they turned out but we'll see

Honestly I just think the technique we used was slightly different which let us cut less and make the hole smaller. Remember how flimsy the top wall was? After we got the initial cut in we basically massaged that wall back and it ended up closing itself up kind of like folding two pieces of paper together. And I think you will be fine on the flares as long as you cut the rears of them down quite a bit. I think that will be the biggest impact point, right at the firewall.

I need to black out my grille like yours too. I'm starting to hate the chrome (I hate chrome in general). Ultimately, I want one of @HomerTaco's satoshis with a couple or three PIAAs behind it.

The truck did absolutely phenomenal. Dirty fives Ftmfw! That trail was a seriously tough trail even for a seasoned 4wheeler but we ran that thing backwards and forwards! Being it was the trucks first real feat I was very light on the skinny pedal trying to keep those cv's happy but the big meaty tires kept me planted and I cruised over most of the technical obstacles. Unfortunately when I wasn't in the truck I was either sitting aimlessly or helping spot other guys through sections so my photos are a bit lacking. But I'll see what I can dig up from the others because this whole group I was with were seriously awesome!

You and your truck did awesome out there. 35s do make it easier to get up and over some shit for sure. Thanks for all the spotting you did for me. You and Jeremy are some cool dudes.

Anytime no doors! Haha I'm trying to convince Jeremy that a tacoma is the way to go but hes set on finding an 85 solid axle. Maybe he'll have one for the next TW trip.

Nice Truck! Love what you've done so far. I saw you noted you had the BAMF LCA skid plates. Was any drilling required to make them fit? I have tried researching but couldn't find any info. Any tips for installing?

Thank you kindly! And yes the lca's did require drilling for me. The outside most bolt for the skids goes through the circular spot on the outside center of the arm.
