Question for my fellow Rochester Tacoma owners. Do any of you have the shift sense installed? If so do you like or dislike it?

Yes, I have it and hardly use it. I am not really impressed with it.

That’s about the extent of it. I am at a point where I am going to remove it and just use the S side of the transmission. Been looking at the OV Tune but I do not have a Windows based lap top and the cost of the tune is close to 800 dollars.

I have just removed the Shift Sense Pro with the Version 2 chip if anybody is interested in it. Let it go for 1/2 price. 50 bucks takes it. I am in Fishers just beyond Eastview Mall. Let me know.

Hey John - glad you're here.

We've tossed around the idea of getting together, maybe, if summer falls on a weekend this year...

    I'd be game for that!

Wanted to ask - did you have your mobtown sliders on for winter? Curious how that went with the salt. I want sliders but scared about possible rust. Fluidfilm works great for the undercarriage but it's nothing you'd want to put on a surface you step on/touch

I just put them on a month, maybe 6 weeks ago. Been long enough to have run through snow and salt. I had them painted before installing and they still have rust spots. Now I keep some black rustoleum and cardboard near the door of my garage. When starts looking rough I hit the spots with a little paint.

I have had my sliders on for about two months but they came powder coating and so far they still look new.

I had wanted to have them powder coated, but was concerned with what kind of shape they'd be in once they got here.

I did, however, have my skids powder coated before shipping. They should drop Thursday. Giggity!

Has anyone used Line-x of Rochester?

I haven't, but have heard that both Rhino Liner and Line-X tend to flake off in large flakes when they're scratched. Rhino had been my plan until I saw some pics of sliders that had most of it peeling off.

Yeah I know what you mean. A good amount of that has to do with how well the part was prepped also.
