    Sup y’all

First post ever on the site so excuse my etiquette if anything is off…

My bro in law had a newer raptor with these really sweet and bright LEDs under each side view mirror that lit up the ground when you unlocked it or opened the door.

(not my pic and not his raptor, just giving you the idea)

I was thinking about doing the same thing on my 3rd gen by popping off the side view mirror cap and fastening a cheap rock light to the underside of each mirror. That whole process would be a breeze. My main issue is where and how I’d wire it to either my top bed light on the roof or my interior lights so that it turned on when I opened my doors or unlocked it from afar.

Ideally, I’d wire them to my bed light because I have the little switch at the bottom left side of my steering wheel so I’d have the option to turn them off and on with my rear bed light. I took the switch apart last night and I was surprised at the complexity of the wiring and was unable to determine which wires I’d splice into to get a little current to mirror lights.

If anyone has any inside on this or has seen anyone else do something similar let me know! I think it would be a sweet $30 upgrade just can’t get past the wiring dilemma.

    Thanks guys!

Be patiently and watch the Meso puddle lights thread and wait for his puddle lights to be back in stock.

If you are mechanically inclined and have a basic idea of electrical you can just buy the VLED's universal puddle light, use a hole a saw on the lower trim piece and wire it to your dome light circuit. The MESO kit is great for it's OEM fit and finish as well as the fact that it is plug and play, but for about $70 you can diy it.

Either is a good route with the about same result. (The Meso kit also angles it out a bit) and the switch is nice.

I have the meso kit on my Tacoma but I will diy it for my tundra.
