Just got some CBI bolt on sliders for my third gen and ran into some clearance issues on the passenger side. The slider contacts the pinch seam up front. Currently working the issue with CBI, but was curious what gaps others have between the pinch seams and the cross members that extend from the frame. I'm pretty new to this, so wasn't sure what kind of deflection could be expected. On the driver side, I'm sitting around 5/8 in. and even more on the forward most cross member. When I had the passenger side up, it was more like 1/2 in. and slightly less on the forward most cross member.

I don’t have a specific reply but did you get these parts and what are they for?

I had the issues with another brand bolt on. I used thick washer to lower it a bit. I was hitting when over bumps.

I was able to loosely mount the slider, and apply some load to pull the front of the slider down. I locked in the position by first tightening the forward most bolt and then tightened the remaining bolts. This created a gap underneath the crossmember mount and CBI provide some plate spacers that I used. I have good clearance now between the slider and pinch seam.

Sorry, these arent the best references but best I can do. Also, I have Mobtown Offroad sliders and not CBI, but I think those parts are bolts welded to long handled washers that get installed inside the frame at the transmission crossmember.

Basically you feed that bolt with long handled washer into the frame until you get the bolt to pop out of the hole in the pic circle below. The handle just lets you keep a grip on it while feeding it into the frame.

Bolt with long handled washer from Mobtown:

yea you need a good amount of clearance so that the sliders dont hit the cab. the cab is moving around all the time, and the mounts are rubber so everytime you hit a bump or have the cab loaded down with weight you will hit the sliders on a bump. i would try to get at least half an inch from the cab to the sliders.

Would love to see the spacers, I have a similar issue with clearance, probably 1/4 in.

I have about 10mm clearance. Also included some pics of the two spacer plates under the cross member.
