Rock slider soon. What are your recommendations?

Bolt ons I have heard can crush the frame so you do need to reinforce...

If you have weld ons and your welds are stronger than the frames you can pull the frame apart if you hit the sliders hard enough. Force gotta go somewhere.

 

With my CBI bolt ons I would bet they are stronger than weld on ones. 1/4 in plate clamshelled around the frame is not going anywhere. The tube would rip off the base first in either design.

 

I think you just want to avoid long vertical welds on a frame due to stress cracking. Horizontal and angled welds are just fine, short vertical welds that don't cover full surface should also be fine.

The frame reinforcement plates for the rear of the 1st gen frames are angled on the ends for this reason.

 

if you were to hit your sliders that hard, imagine the damage if you did not have them…. nothing is indestructible other than nokia 3310s lol

 

So it is, sliders made out of 3310s fused together with cockroach juice.

 

its Okay, i dont take it offensive. I just want honest opinions...I bought mine from anbcustomfab on here and they have brackets.
