They referenced the "Type" of steel not the company making them :)

I guess if you were to do some serious wheeling and crawling then I see why you'll need it...but if it's just trail riding and light wheeling the the "mild" one would be enough...I think...but what do I know :D

Same here, I'm sure I'd be fine with the mild steel but for $150 more (powdercoated & installed) I got the Demello Hybrids during the 20% off sale. I'm happy!

This is a good deal! Tri thanks for putting this together for everyone.

I trust Jame's judgment. Been straight forward with me and making a full cage for Mario's truck makes me all the more confident that he will do a good job for us. I know Demello makes good stuff too but James is near me and I want to support the SD people as much as I can.

Heres the deal with anything that james does. He does all the fab work on my tacoma, and my good friends Rock Crawler ( Mario ) Nobody else touches them. I have personally been in mario's crawler and bounced off of rocks pretty hard, practically rolled over in the motor scooter and walked away no problem. Now with that being said, nobody on this site does any wheeling as hard and brutal to what mario does when where up in the Hammers at Johnson Valley. His whole exo cage was fabbed out by james. Truck Shop will give you a good deal and stands by his work 110%. Its not just a plug for his shop, but if you guys want a good deal and no bs go thru him. Just my .02......

Desert season's almost over, who's up for a notches trip the weekend of 17 april..

Seeing Mario's truck and your sliders was an easy decision for me.

I've seen this truck before, it was parked in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the day. Was very nice looking. I actually took some pictures of it myself!

mild steel will bend DOM will dent

my sliders are DOM and i wouldnt put anything other than that on there

the chance of you landing your truck so hard on the sliders that you cause the DOM to fail...youre probably rolling off the side of a mountain and youve got larger issues

mild steel that can flex...well...the whole point of sliders is to keep from denting your rocker panels etc...why would you want the part thats designed to keep things away from your rockers to flex into your rockers and damage them themselves?

for those of you who have sliders for looks/shopping carts/door ding protection

mild steel will do you fine

if youre landing your truck on a rock with a slider in between...why risk under building?

Thanks for the input. I have been in the truck with the sliders and cages that he built and for the off road that I do it is more than enough.

If DOM is what someone wants he can make it no problem.

Price I am not sure of but if you want to PM me I can find out for you.
