What would be the benefit of going with the unwelded set? (Besides saving some cash) Am I right to assume you have figured out the best mounting locations for the legs and welded them up accordingly? I'm very interested in a set of these in the near future for my DCSB. I've already got a pretty good scratch on my rocker panel and would like to prevent any more.

Sorry for the late reply, But the benefit of my "Unwelded set" Is basically personal customization. since your going to be welding them to the frame anyways. This allows the customer to put the feet/legs where you'de want them. Cut the legs to what length you'de like, and angle them up, if any, that you'de like. Hope that makes sence...
But my "Welded" version is all welded up and ready to just be welded to your frame. Yes I believe I have figured out the best location for mounting/welding. With this option and my "Bolt on" Sliders I can take requirements and suggestions. Let me know what you want or would like, as far as stickout or angle upward or not. Or even a longer kickout. All free of charge!!

Hope this explains it for you and others.. Please don't hesitate to ask me any question, Im happy to help and look forward to getting more interest in my products. Thanks!

Bought a set of these sliders a few weeks ago. Did the Bolt-ons with kick out and they look awesome and are solid.

    Test fit:

I decided to paint them just for easy touch up.

I know it may defeat the purpose but is there anyway that you can make those with a small step in them

Other than rocker panel protection are there any other practical uses of this? Does it offer a step (similar to a nerf bar) to let shorter people (my wife :) ) get into the truck any easier or is it too close to the body?

If you would like to be able to use them as a step I could not angle them up at all. And maybe put raised expanded metal where steps would be.
But these work pretty good for door ding protection also. As well as Rocker panel protection. Rocks flying up off your tires peppering your paint.

But I do a lot of custom tweaking to my sliders to fit customers needs and wants. Just let me know what youde like, and I will see what I can do. :)

Long overdue but need to give Evan a big Thank You. Have had these for about a month now. I bought the Weld-on version. Took about 45 min to weld them on. Fit-up was perfect. Very well built sliders. Here are a few pictures (not the best). These sliders blend so well with the truck it's hard to get a good picture of them.
