Ordered mine today. Now I just have to find some one around here who will weld them on cheap (can get beer from exchange to bypass 25% tax). Shops want 80 an hour.

I just wanted to chip in a few good words for Adam at 4X. I ordered a set of DOM for my double cab. I ordered them from Adam, took him about two weeks he kept in contact with me during the whole time, GREAT SERVCE. Like I said two weeks later from the order I left work early just to be their when they arrived. Just as i turned the corner I met with Fed Ex in front of my hours. THe Fed Ex man brought them out and I took them from there. As I took the sliders from him I thought, Damn these things are heavy and well wraped. It came in two pieces, a box with all the fixtures and the sliders themselfs. Get someone who knows what they are doing to weld them on because Adam gives you everything you need to put these puppies on and if you use the pieces he gives you, you will never have to worry about the sides of your truck. I was quite satisfied with his product and service. As one member put it, I like the way he stacks his nickles. 4X=Damn Great Sliders!!

Finally got mine installed. They are a lot better than nerf bars. I also like how they stick out. :D

Is it easier to paint them before or after they are welded on?

Thanks! I'll let you know when they head out.

Here's a quick rundown on the easiest way to install sliders.
    1. Clamp the mounting plates to the frame where you want them. Light tacs work as well but be sure you can cut them off! Mark the location of the mounting plates.

    2. Hold the slider up to the truck where you want them to be.

    3. Fit the legs in place and heavily tac them to the mounting plates.

    4. Remove the clamps, take the slider down and over to the work bench, install the support gussets and fully weld the slider.

    5. Clean and paint all but the main mounting plates

    6. Clean the paint from the frame where the mounting plates are marked out. Be sure to clean at least 1/2" wider than the mounting plate on each side so there is plenty of clean area to weld with.

    7. Reinstall on the truck and weld on the mounting plates.

    8. Clean and paint the mounting plates and frame.

Stupid Fed Ex splitting up packages... But they have proven to be reliable otherwise.

I'll mail you a new sticker, sorry about that.
