I've only found a few that do. Just wondering why you don't? Is it because you don't think you'll sell enough?

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

Sorry probably didn't come out the way that I meant it. I wasn't trying to sound like a dick. I was just surprised nobody local hasn't helped you out yet. BTW I have a couple of friends that had your sliders and I loved the workmanship and I'd love to go for a long road trip unfortunately life gets in the way for me most of the time.

He had just answered that. Look at his post I quoted

i didn't understand this either. i ended up cutting an inch and a half off the shorter legs and cut the 2 longer ones to match though. this put the main bar that the legs attach to under the seem of the cab

Rebecca we ship the sliders with one leg long because some models require that. You can take a look at our weld on rock slider install guide for some step by step info that will help you along the install process.

Hey guys I need help deciding if I should drop the extra $50 for DOM vs HREW. My truck is a DD and I'm only hitting the trails about once per month. Even then, I'm a beginner and my truck is semi stock (32s and leveling kit). Future plans are to get a 3" lift, 33s. I don't ever plan going too crazy w/the truck.
You guys think I'll be ok going w/HREW and save some cash? Thanks for your time.

I'm in the same boat as you, but for only $50 more, I'm going to spring for the DOM once I have enough mula. I have to pay off a speeding ticket first :pout: It is still cheaper than the competition

Yes, you're right about the cheaper than other competitors and the lead time is current. Damn, I still haven't decided though...

Sorry no free shipping. We have these priced right from the start. I'd literally be paying you to take them if I had to pay shipping.

For Sliders and cages I do normally recommend the DOM tubing. This is especially true in the Tacomas as they are a heavier truck. The DOM is about 30% stronger than the HREW tubing so it can take a fair bit more abuse than the HREW. These are a weld on slider so it is worth something to go with the stronger material to help ensure you have a longer service life from them. For what it's worth, we only offer the bolt on sliders in DOM.

With all that said, if you are a careful driver and are not dropping or bashing your truck into rocks you'll likely be ok. In the 8 years I've been building parts I've only heard of I think 2 or 3 sets of my sliders getting bent badly. The major concern is with dent resistance. Dropping the HREW sliders onto a rock will dent them, the DOM will have more resistance to denting.

I have a question about the square main tubing. Do the legs ship with them notched to weld to the slider at a specific angle or will I have to notch them myself? I remember the legs come notchrd for the circular tubing, but as you change the angle of the slider the notch wouldn't need to change. That wouldn't work with the square

Edit: Or, do you weld the legs flat to the square tube and the slider then is angled on the square?

The Square main tube sliders ship with the legs cut at an angle to match the bolt on sliders. If you want them to be different we can cut that for you or you can trim it to fit during the install.

We do not have bolt on sliders for the long bed.
