I need advice on a place that can make me some rock sliders in the San Bernardino area. Any one know of a place a guy could get that done?

I was looking for a few products for my 1st gen (front and rear plate bumpers, bed rack, etc.) and decided to contact Pelfreybilt (they're local to me). They replied stating that they might look into 1st gen products next year and were not focused on 1st gens at this time. I didn't reply back since I don't plan on waiting a year for them to "possibly" have products.

Is there a reason why you're looking for someone to make you sliders as opposed to buying a set that's already made? Just curious...with my first set I ended up buying local because I needed them installed/welded on. For my second set I went with BAMF sliders with the bolt on option.

Might want to check this thread out as well:

You could try Avid off road. I heard they do some custom fabricating. I got my sliders through them and they were super easy to deal with. I don't know where they are located but they could ship to you. Just an idea

Ya that's what they told me too. I'm trying to avoid paying shipping and I want them welded on preferably. That's why I was trying to find something local. On that note if I do order sliders is there a design that is better then another ie plated, kick outs etc. any input would be great I'm new to sliders.

The kick out is nice if you do rock crawling. It will help prevent you from really messing up your bedside.

Ok thanks. How far out should they be from the side of the truck?

personal preference I think, some like to use as steps but others like them tucked up more for clearance.

You want it to kick out far enough to clear the start of the bedside. After that your rear tires will protect you.

We are in the Menifee/Murrieta area and get shipments from All-Pro regularly and can save you on shipping costs. All-Pro was actually the first company to develop a slider with a kick-out and their kick-out is in the perfect position and angle for the best protection. They have also trail tested their sliders more than any other company I know of!

You can call us at 951.746.3393 or send a PM or email to sales@boss4x4.com with your desired order and vehicle info and we'll get it going for you. We should have a shipment leaving this week from All-Pro, so if in stock, we can add the sliders. You can pay when you pick-up or we can send you a PayPal invoice. Thanks!
