I just thought that I'd give you a look at my new rock sliders. These are from White Knuckle Offroad. When researching sliders I saw that this shop was literally about two miles from my house. I dropped by in January to see if they were building sliders for the 2016's yet. The owner, John Sundquist, said they hadn't made any yet, but would like to use my truck as the template. Well after a few trips to the shop the new sliders are on. They are absolutely awesome! John did a great job on them. Give White Knuckle Offroad a call if you are looking for a set on your Tacoma, you won't be disappointed.

I like those a lot, will they make them for the access cab? Reasonable price?

I know he's working on it. He didn't have any at the time, I think that they are still looking for a truck to use as a template. You should give them a call.

LOL, long drive indeed. Give him a call, he might have an access cab set all done. I know when I was in there, he said that he wanted to offer them for that style of truck as well.

Ok, I'll have to check them out, esp since they're bolt on.

Where do they bolt on to? The stock location for the running boards?

This may be a different topic for a different thread but are bolt on sliders strong enough to support the weight of the truck?

Most bolt on frame mounted sliders support the weight of the truck.
Here are some Avid sliders. More pic's in the link in signature.

They really aren't sliders if they can't.

Edit: Rock sliders are made to support the weight of the truck when it's dropping down onto rocks, tree stumps, roots or anything else. If they can't support the weight of the truck on a Hi-Lift jack, they surely can't protect the truck on the trail.

Right. My main concern would be being dropped onto the bolt on sliders and the mounts on the cab bending.

True bolt-on sliders do not bolt to the cab. They bolt right onto the frame.
Side steps bolt to the cab and should not be used for protection from elements that Joe listed above.

Right. My understanding is that true bolt on sliders would need holes drilled in the frame correct?
