I also mounted a set of CaliraisedLED sliders yesterday. I got the 0* with lined top plates. Primed and then painted with Rust-oleum bed coating.

Did you see the post about the stolen bolt on front plate bumper? Definitely a good thing about welded on sliders if you park in the city a lot...near the mall...in California.

You said she “plans to grab them”, like your truck has a lift like no other or she’s extra short... o_O

Hey- sorry about that, it really was just a misunderstanding. Those would look nice, one thing Ive noticed about top plates is maintenance, and those look like they do come off easily, which is another plus. Our neighbor has some that don’t and has a hard time getting mud off the bottom. I don't have top plates and its also a hassle even cleaning them without because we have a lot of clay in the soil here wherever there’s standing water on the trails. Also, I’d consider using security type bolt heads to put that plate on so they don’t disappear. They do look nice and will get attention...

That looks safer too, especially if they’re covered with snow or mud.

Much easier to get in and out of the truck without feeling like you have to slide across the seats. Plus I’m no long feeling for the driver grab handle when getting in. And best of all the wife approves.

I debated going dimple up. It’s a quick change if I ever decide to change it up.

Well there’s two ways to look at it, dirt or water won’t drain down through them as easily, but then again as I mentioned above, better slip protection. I think they look good up.
