Hey Fellow Taco lovers: I'm replacing rusted rocker panels and having trouble finding the correct part for the repair. I have a 2nd gen 2010 dbl cab. My local Toyota dealer has suggested after market. I've found a few parts but I'm not certain they're the right ones for the job. It seems like a common problem. Has anyone here done this repair before? Can anyone recommend replacement rocker panels parts? I need inner and outer panel just below the back door driver side.

Your best bet might be a trip to a junkyard with a battery powered cutting wheel so you can take large margins to make fitting easier. I've seen few aftermarket options and even fewer good reviews as far as fitment/contour match to factory. I would not even bother with "fit overs" at all, I have never seen one that didn't make the actual rust priblem worse even faster.

The frame usually seems to go before the rockers.

    So that's all good?

The frame was rebuilt before I purchased in 2020 and I've been keeping a lanolin undercoating going since then, so frame looks good so far.
