rocker switch lighting

Hey guys so I swapped out arb compressors today and wanted to be able to get the lights on the switches to dim with the dimmer knob. So I spliced into one of the two wires coming off the back of the dimmer. But upon testing they friggin dim opposite of the damn dash lights. Wtf!?? Dash lights on switches are off, switch lights on dash off. What am I doing wrong?? I'm not a wiring guy at all!!

 

I think the install steps for the Flyzeye V2W-1215 would get you where you want to go. At least somewhere to tap into the dimmer. Not 100 percent on that, I'm not much of a wiring guy either. I couldn't find just an install guide but at the top of the page it has pictures that has some instructions.

Yeah that dosent really apply, thanks though!! If I had a second gen it would be a breeze, in skygears for sale thread for fuse/relay boxes there is good info on the subject, but not first gens.

I just don't understand why they dim backwards? They dim just fine, but back asswards.
