Take the wire you have currently going to the power and use the add a fuse on a circuit that only has power in accesory mode or with truck running. Ie power outlet is what i would choose. Yes the add a fuse orientation matters because there will be two fuses in it. One for the original accesory. And one for the added"circuit"

So the light was on all the time even when I had a fuse because it was still directly wired to the battery :frusty:

I figured it out though, I disconnected the main from the positive and used the add a fuse to the red wire. Solved the problem! Thanks for all the help guys! I really appreciate it!

So i've been trying to figure this out myself for some ditch lights I just put in. So in your first picture on the left the top 2 pins are jumped together to ground. The bottom left pin goes to your relay. The middle and bottom right pins are jumped together and go to an accessory fuse?

So the top 2 go to the ground. The then 2 that are jumped together (middle and bottom right) go to the add a circuit. and the bottom left goes to the positive of the light. Sorry, I did these a month ago so I dont remember too clearly. If that doesnt work switch them. But I had an issue with mine because the positive was directly connected to my battery. I just cut that off and taped the open connection. Solved the problem. Hope this helps!
