It does but if i can get just 3 full weekends i can get all that shit done. And there are exactly 3 weekends between now and moab that i don't have plans. dropping the truck off to the body shop next weekend to get a few trail scars taken off.

Alright folks...a little update for those looking to make the pilgrimage...

We're hitting the reset button this year bringing things back to the basics...due to the need to change of venues, we've had to restructure how we were doing things this year. BFE was on private lands which allowed us some more flexibility on how we did things.

This year we'll be on BLM or State Land Trust lands and will be a lot more laid back than years past. Everyone will be camping and wheeling on your own schedules. If you are looking for trail suggestions, feel free to pick our brains or many other experienced brains out there.

Meet new friends, catch up with old friends...key is to have fun, enjoy the area whether it's in your truck, on a dirt bike, on a mountain bike, on two feet or kicked back in a camp chair...

Remember... STAY THE TRAIL and LEAVE NO TRACE! Let's keep our trails open and our lands beautiful.

    Main Camping areas:

Camping by the Dunes, 38.418226, -109.465427

Camping at the Ledge along Kane Creek Rd (we have the group site reserved if needed), 38.484572, -109.605764

    Camping at Ken's Lake, 38.476652, -109.422331

the dunes are all FCFS. we will bring in some toilets if there are enough available sites to hold our group.

We have the group site at the ledge, the rest of the sites there are FCFS. a toilet is available next to the group site.

ken's lake has a few group sites that are reserved already, the rest is FCFS. toilets are available there.

Cool. I guess I'll wait to plan where we'll camp until I see where more people will be. My Wife and I are making the trip solo, so we'll need to get in with a group on the trails.

The only other person we know that's going so far is @cynicalrider. I know Mike's meeting up with some other first gen guys. Not sure they'll let a 2nd gen in.

You know? First Gen snobs... :poking:

I would suggest people to first look for the group at the dunes.

For those with trailers, you should be able to get down to the camp. There is a spot to park your trailer on the other side of the dirt road from the campsites (we'll setup toilets there for convenience). There is also a parking lot across 191 from the dunes entrance which is on the BFE side if you did not want to drive the trailer back there.

If you do not see the group there (I hope to be there by Tuesday evening), then check Ken's lake and the Ledge. The Ledge should have many available sites to camp at. Ken's lake can get busy so there will be less of a chance to get a first come site.

We will be arriving Monday if all goes as planned. Just want to make sure we set up in the bast spot while waiting for everyone else to arrive. My M1101 can go anywhere the truck can go, as far as getting to a camp site.
