Nice. Went the permanent route I see.

Next time I need tires I'll do the same. Although, I no longer have TPMS. I think that's why that guy broke two valve stems. That metal is no good for the trail.

I went with the "permanent" solution since they are more low profile than the ones that don't require tools.

Can those be put in with the tire on the rim as well? If so, I would've went with those too. Oh well.

Yup, they just require a socket vs the one's you got that you can tighten by hand with no tools.

Are there any trail permits required for the Moab/Canyonlands/Arches area?

canyonlands and arches are national parks which require park entry fees.

there is a fee for white rim trail for both day-use as well as overnight, https://www.nps.gov/cany/planyourvisit/whiterimroad.htm

there is a fee to enter sand flats recreation area (hells revenge, fins & things and many notable mtn biking routes) through the main entrance (none if you come in through kokopelli route), http://sandflats.org/

canyonlands has the island in the sky (rt 313) which is by moab, and the needles district south of town which is where you'd access elephant hill and many great hiking areas. there is a park fee as well as a daily fee/overnight fee.

    Good links, thank you.

I'm a little confused because in Minnesota 4x4 trucks/jeeps are considered OHV's (specifically ORV's). But in these links I'm reading that OHV's need trail permits, or that on White Rim Rd OHV's aren't even permitted. It looks like in Utah "OHV" is only referring to ATV's and motorcycles. No?

We will have an OHM with us (street legal dual-sport), and from what I'm reading it sounds like he definitely will need a permit.

even plated vehicles need the day and overnight permits...it's a fairly new permit system for elephant hill and white rim trail with their day permits. they've had the overnight permits for a long time.

sand flats is an entrance fee and is good for 3 days

    :goingcrazy:

More nervous than anything. So much to get done yet. So much shit to buy. First time going for most of my group.

Is anybody else bringing their family with, or is the campground all about hookers and guns?? My wife and 7yr old will be flying into Grand Junction for a few of the days.

Lol these parts are just to minimize down time and ability to get myself off the trail. The drive shaft though is to get home lol

This fucking guy right here! Just did all my fluid checks for under the skids. They aren't coming off again till the trip is over. Truck is pretty much set, just gotta finish the jerry can mount still.

It's Utah, hookers and guns are banned! I will have my wife and 5 month old daughter with me. Others will have family as well.
