I have 1.5 gallon pump up sprayer that I installed a lawn mower fuel shut off valve.

The rigid nozzle is removed, I only use the flexible line.

Fish it into the fill plug hole, pump up the sprayer and open valve. Flows in like a dream.

I like how the sprayer has volume indication written on the side.

I do transmission fluid swaps every year, so having this set up is nice.

I only do drains and fills.

The fluid temp you are wanting is

100°-114° when you pull the overfill plug.

When i did my flush, an outboard lower unit pump kit screws into the pan drain. Had no issues leaving connected while running out 1-2qt at a time.

Made something similar for drain and fills works like a dream. All in less than 20 bucks at Harbor Freight.

But why? We have perfectly good humans for that. Unless just for profit...

This is from a work rig that employees drive? I wonder when the last brake inspection was? Maybe it needs to be put on a regular maintenance schedule. Hopefully one that is better than the Tacoma was on.

Kind of a short sighted viewpoint. The company I was working for when I got "Voluntold" I was moving into the AI space did it to improve job satisfaction for their employees. Instead of answering numerous mundane questions to get to the calls where these highly-trained CSRs could do real work, the mundane chores of routing and "what funds do I have in my account" functions were taken over by AI. This is a win for the customers as they get their answers much faster and a win for the employees and the company. How so? Job satisfaction went way up and the turnover percentage was cut by half.

Don't kid yourself brother! The goal of AI is to reduce costs by reducing headcount.

Conspiracy theorists unite. I've been in this space for seven years now and can definitively say you are wrong.

I work on the business side of this equation and I am definitely not wrong. Technology's primary goal is to save me money!

    Yeah.
    Porque no los dos?

It's both, but now I am sorry I brought it up. Conversational AI trained on a controlled and known good data set is useful. Saves money and keeps people from having to do mundane jobs. Counting on good answers from AI trained on random internet information is just plain silly and just perpetuates the stupidity of the human race. Can you imagine training it on TW advice? We'd all throw out our tire gauges and replace them with a stick of chalk. Tacoma Beast would be elected president. Utter chaos.

I can see this making sense. When I was on the phones answering claim related issues from hospitals we had a dial option that could give basic information instead if the caller didn't want to wait for a person. Around the tail end of my time in that unit we had a web based product for them to use for that reason.

    Coefficient of heat conduction?

Prolly why the service manual gives you a window of 14*.

Yes this is right. I had to request 7500 mile oil changes on my 4Runner. Now I may go back 10k since an oil change at the dealer is $100.

We changed the transmission fluid, will try to drive it tomorrow and see if it shifts better.

We also found a blown fuse that we replaced, that made the airbag light go out.

We also checked the second batch of transmission harness/connectors and they seem fine, though the transmission codes don't seem to be clearing. I'll drive it tomorrow and get the latest list.

Weirdly, I also work in an AI tech field, but uh, this forum seems to be leaning more toward Tacomas :)

Understand the range…I checked mine in the middle of the range. Just trying to understand the comment. Guess the radiant heat loss of the fluid caused by the conductive steel pan?

Yea, an IR gun pointed at the pan bottom reads around 3-5° lower than the reading you're going to get off a scan tool.

Crazy thread. I have 4 years of 'free' service because SE Toyota always makes you buy 'ToyoGuard Platinum'. I decided when I bought the truck I wouldn't be taking it to them for oil changes though because I know if I do it it'll be done right and with care. Tough break OP, good luck getting your new engine ironed out.
