    Stock-ish
Little review, been running these and poly motor/trans mount for the last month. Vibrations were moderate, but what the main problem was, is that my sliders were bent up into my pinchweld thus making the cab "solid mounted". Chopped sliders off last night, and truck is pretty dang quiet with no sqeaks or vibrations. Pretty good for all poly

    Oh wow.

Yeah. On concrete highways, my Taco seems to be quieter, which was a surprise.

Installed today with help from @jayrome . Took a little longer than expected and we had to float the cab a bit to get the bolts lined up but its done.

gonna drive it tomorrow to see if I can notice the difference.

UPDATE: Ultimately what took care of the issue was removing the bolt, bottom washer, bottom bushing and the sleeve, making sure everything was clean and greased, then reinstalling. The top washer between the body and the top bushing was misaligned a bit, so we did lift just a smidge to align that. After torquing it back down, so far no noise in the one that was creaking

    Good times!

It's interesting that the install went pretty much how mine did. The driver's side front-most bushing location was the main issue. The bolt hole on the cab was out of alignment on both trucks when trying to install the bolt and sleeve through the bushing. Not surprising that the OEM bushing in that location was the one with the side wear issue. The entire problem with the OEM bushings (besides the fact that they are shitty to begin with) is that this misalignment causes the wear on the side of the bushing that causes the dreaded sound that brought us all here. Passenger side front-most bushing had no side wear and the holes were fairly aligned.

I wonder if a TSB might ever come from this? Like the 3rd brake light TSB? I guess noise isn’t enough of a concern to justify corrective action.

    Great to hear.

Interesting problem though, as the sleeve rides on the bottom of the washer. Alignment shouldn't create noise, but that is just me spitballing.

Right on. My guess is that there is too much adjustability in the rear four mounts. I was surprised how well everything lined up with these new mounts that have almost no play for adjustment. Prior to this, I was half wondering if the cab to frame locations were somehow tooled incorrectly. Just the shitty OE mounts. All six, IMHO.

I doubt it. This has been an issue since at least 2005. I don't have much info on the 1st Gens.

That would be logical right? Somehow though, there was wear on out the OUTSIDE of the edge of the sleeve. My guess is that I just didn't seat it correctly, or that combined with the misaligned washer. Not sure I'll ever know, but it's done now!

That is crazy, but I'm glad that it is sorted. Hopefully for the life of the Taco.

I'm pretty confident that it was install related. The bushings are super solid and I'm super confident that this issue is probably done for the life of the Taco! Highly recommend doing this upgrade

I'm kinda bummed that you guys are stuck waiting. I might suggest that folks on the list reach out to folks that you know to get this puppy moving?

On my side, the more that I drive my Taco with these poly bushings, the more I love them. No more squeaking like when the stock PoSs got wet. They solved issues that I guessed that I had. Haha!

    Thanks!

Too bad we can't take credit for those above and beyond the original 15 needed.
