That would be nice, but unfortunately, it was a different effort at a different time.

    So close though!

If anyone is on the fence about these they should just get onboard and buy them. I'm extremely happy with the "clunk" in my front end being gone. The differences are subtle but it's definitely positive since I installed mine.

    Cheers!

Have you had a chance to get out on a concrete highway? I'm interested to know if my feeling that it is quieter there can be confirmed?

I have. It's just quieter enough to know that there is a difference. I also noticed that when hitting rumble strips, cats eyes or storm drain covers they don't sounds as loud. Cab feels less vibrations coming into it and at the same time feels more secure. It's not a huge difference but enough to notice.

I've been looking at these for a while now. Seems like a great OEM+ upgrade. Has anyone installed these on a more/less stock truck?

Close to stock in what way?

For mine, I do not have extra weight in / on the cab. No rack, no CMC, flat aftermarket mud flaps, standard battery, and OE bumper (even though a plate bumper attaches to the frame). I have 5100s and 32in tires.

If you are thinking about other mods that could affect the feel, lemme know.

I'm fully stock + wheels/tires, so your truck is very similar to mine. Just curious if doing these mounts to a mostly stock truck would make a difference that's worth it.

The big deal that I faced was that my front rad mounts failed and were clanking over bumps. This is a common problem that some folks see really early. Mine went at about 50k. Energy Suspension has a cheap universal kit for the front two that works, but the bushings are thicker. Not long after doing that, one of my rear cab mounts started squeaking when it was raining.

I had some poly mounts and bushings on a couple cars of ours and was very impressed with the differences. Even my wife noticed and was a big fan. So, I was very interested in getting the poly body mounts for the Taco, but there was nothing available for the 3rd Gens, even after reaching out to Energy Suspension. Rogue Offroad has the only kit that I am aware of. So, it was great for me to get this kit and solve the problems. The side benefits that I found was a more connected feel when driving and a bit less road noise coming through, esp on concrete roads.

As much as I would like to have you jump in, the considerations would be: Do you have clanking up front that you can't trace? Do you want to have this kit on the shelf if you don't, but just because of the GB price?

Front driver location gave me problems as well. Holes misaligned made it a pain. Passenger side was an absolute breeze, done in five minutes.

My last mystery squeak was indeed the bushing. Truck is extremely quiet now after getting the floor covered in sound deadening to match the doors and rear wall. All that's left is the roof when I have time, and the middle/rear bushings which hopefully go smoother than that front driver.

I think I need to get these. How long did it take you to install?

Excellent. Lemme know if you want to be added.

It was an afternoon, like 2hrs or so. Three beer project? So, pretty painless other than my ABS wire SNAFU. Easily avoidable.

Do it. You will absolutely not regret it. Even having done just the front two made a big difference

The more you can do to prep, have the right tools and understand what you're doing, the better. I would plan for a half day of figuring it out and enjoy the process

. Count me in. Maybe I’ll get a mod day going and wait till it’s pouring rain this time.

I have two new noises from my truck one I think maybe attributed to this and another might be my CV. I only have 75k miles too.

Heading out to try them in the desert this weekend. I'll be hitting some higher speed washes and articulating a bit too. Interested to see if I notice anything.

So far, driving around town, the truck feels better. It's subtle, but it's there.
