Are these considered a 34 or 35 inch? I know they measure around 34.5. Anyhow, what gears are you thinking about?

I'm gonna run 4.88's. I'm trying to decide on an e-locker or ARB in front as well. I think they consider them a 35.

I am in the same boat a step down from you. Gonna go to 33s in my 4-banger and putting in 4.56s. Trying to decide on ARB locker or true track in the back. Who even makes an e-locker for a Taco front diff btw?

I'm gonna run without the gears for a little bit and see how it goes. I am thinking this summer I'll have enough money saved to swap them out. I wanna do spindle gussets as well.

This is the one I am thinking about.

When you added your bumper did you notice your front end sag down at all?

Yeah a little, but I was running lighter springs. The 700lb springs I run now hold up a lot better to the weight of all the armor.

I've got toytec coils. I wonder how they would hold up

You would get some sag with a steel bumper + winch.

I already have OBA, but I got interested in the e-locker option after hearing some stories about people having issues with their air lockers.

I get that for sure, especially in sub-zero weather. I go back and forth on the front locker thing. Easy way to break something if your not careful. Plus, around here there is a tree every two feet, so I can always winch over an obstacle if need be.

Yep! I would definitely use mine sparingly, but it would be nice to have the option if needed. If I wasn't re-gearing I wouldn't even consider it. Rear locker + ATRAC is very effective.

What have you done to your truck lately
I had the toy tec ultimate lift kit when I installed my steel front bumper and winch it sagged adjusted still rubbed when went off roading. I called you tec if they would sell an 700lb spring and they said no the ride would be too stiff, I even contacted eibachi springs and said would have to buy it thru toy tec. Upgraded to Kings never been happier.

Just a thought, but look for a light bumper and get synthetic winch line and you will save 100lbs at least up front. Might help with the sag a bit, then again might not. From what I have heard, sag is not always the issues, its bounce from the weight.

This was my issue, I was ok with losing a little height, but it was the bounce that I didn't like.

Thanks for the info. Wonder if it would make a difference if I got an aluminum bumper

Oh yes, but then you have an aluminum bumper. My worries there is that if you wheel alot, aluminum doesnt bend like steel

Also, for the extra cost of an aluminum bumper, I wonder if you could upgrade your front end?
