Why am I having such a hard time installing mine? I realize I can't use my fronts yet because I did too much cutting to the fenders previously so I got to think of a way to add them on.

Aside from that I cannot, for the life of me, get the rear holes to align. I put one screw in and the other holes don't line up. Also, it doesn't stay because the hole is obviously too big.

Can someone help me out before I destroy these things lol found one YouTube video but that wasn't helpful.

Okay I now realize "wrong hole fool!!" and the rear installation will be easier with the tires off.

Holding off on installation until I head over to my dad's house with more tools sometime in the near future.

No need to take off the back wheels if you use a small socket wrench, 1/4 inch socket, with a phillips bit. Piece of cake!

I tried a stubby and it was too long for the rear. Worked great on the front though

image.jpg Aircraft mechanic screwdriver like this...
Push head to engage fastener and turn handle. Has infinite ratcheting due to the one way bearing in the mechanism.

Or just jack the pumpkin up and remove the wheels. You would have been done already.....

My anchors in the front are all jacked up. Gotta buy more or get some drywall anchors. Did anyone else get the washer kit? The bolts don't fit anywhere.

I used an impact driver, universal joint, and 6" extension to install everything. Took about 20 minutes. In fact I spent about half of that time just fusing with the front and figuring out where that J clip was supposed to go.

Yeah, the J clip was a PITA to figure out but screwed right in after I found the correct hole. I am still not entirely sure what is holding it in but it seems secure enough. I am worried about knocking it off on a rock though. I love the back but I think that little bracket in the front in the Achilles's heel of the design.

The clip uses the rubber washer to expand inside the hole. its pressure fit just like most drywall anchors. Maybe not the best design in the world, but if you install it correctly it should hold up just fine. On the plus side that type of fastener will give quickly if you ever pinch the mudflap between your wheel and a rock, and minimize the damage. That doesn't change the other 3 connections though.

Complete! Had to shove some drywall anchors in for the front for the time being. Anyone know the part number for the actual OEM anchors?
