Since adding JBA UCA’s to my 2” Eibach lift, I have a slight rub on my factory mud guards despite my caster being set at 4.0. The real culprit is my SCS wheels & 265-75-16 tires.

Regardless, I’ve decided to ditch the factory guards since they aren’t offering much protection with my lift, wheels, & tires & grab a set of Rokblokz for their thinner profile in the fender well and the added protection they offer.

I’ve been reading through many of the mud flap threads and I’m still a bit unsure which size to go with. I’m leaning heavily towards the XL version, but would like to hear from those of you who have either size, especially if you are lifted. Bonus points for pics.

I know many don’t like any flaps/guards, but I live down a mile long stone lane and when I leave my house and hit the paved roads, rocks go flying as speed increases, so I have to have them. Thanks!

XLs on mine. Stock Pro other than the tires.

I drive a ton of gravel miles at 90-100km/h. Glad I went with the XL. Decent protection though I still get a few dings. They look a little large sometimes to me but I wouldn't want the regular ones. Glad to have the coverage.

Thank you for the pics. I think you just made me decide on the XL’s. Your truck looks good! With my lift, wheels, & tires, the XL’s are probably the way to go for me. Thanks, again!

I’m glad you posted this question. I’m trying to decide between the two sizes myself.

I’ve been leaning towards the XLs because my General Grabbers sling rocks like a mofo and my Black Rhino wheels have a -10 offset.

I hear ya. My Ray10’s are -12. My rocker panels feel your pain!

Does anyone know of any makers of or have any links to quality “4X4” or “4WD” decals that would stick and last? Thinking of making the rear flaps look like the old Gen 1 flaps.

you definitely want to have XL if you have 0 or negative offset

Mine's on 0 offset and the contact patch stuck outside of the protected area of the factory mudguards

with XL you can rest assure nothing will get flung

Nice. Post some pics when you get them installed, if you don’t mind.

I’ve spent enough money on the truck recently so I’m going to buy my mud flaps in a month or 2.

That’s exactly the info I was looking for. Thanks!

Figured the XL’s were the better choice with my lift, wheels and tires and if I ever bump up to 285’s, they’d still be covered.

That’s really sharp! Thank you, for sharing. Glad I made the decision to go with the XL’s. I like your Toyota decal. What size tires are you running?

I ordered white “TRD” decals for mine. I almost went with the classic “4WD” that the company also offered, but felt the “TRD” script/font went with my truck better. We shall see. The good news is, it’s just a decal and can easily switch it if I feel like a change.

Received my XL Rokblokz today! Did you guys notch out the front flaps along that line that is molded into them for even more clearance or not?

I did not. My tires are 265/75/16s with stock wheels so I wasn't too worried about needing extra clearance.

Nope, I recommend that you test fit without cutting, and make sure you do test these conditions concurrently:
    • in reverse
    • full lock turn

If they don't rub, you're good to go

Added a matte white TRD decal to kind of give the rears that old school vibe. Almost went with the “4WD” decal but felt the TRD font went better with this newer style of truck.

I’ll update this thread with more pics once I have them installed.
