I have a skid plate that is getting pretty rusty after a couple of winters of highway salt and sand. Was going to remove it and apply some Bedliner paint hoping that may be more durable than the powder coat it came with.

Anyone used these products? How much metal prepping is needed? Local Bedliner spray shop is asking $250 for the job.

    Any other thoughts? Thanks!

i did it for my factory skid plate last summer, probably do it again this summer… I just pressure washed it and got most of the rust off, then put a bunch of coats of some spray on bed liner and its held up great

Great and thanks, any product you recommend? Is any one better than any other or should I just go with the cheapest option?
