Oh... one more thing about the bed mount system. I HIGHLY recommend picking up a set of @KB Voodoo bed side rails and tailgate protector. Worth every penny!

    Craig,

What kind of wind noise from the roof rack do you get if any from this set up?

Believe it or not there is no wind noise at all. That was my first concern when seeing this rack and the way the boxed design looked. But after some research... the fairings they add underneath the rack work amazingly well. When I say no wind noise I mean no wind noise at all. I was surprised myself.

A quick update on what I did:
I got some KB Voodoo bed bars and paired with a 4'x2'x4" Defender rack behind my cab:

    I don’t have any experience.
But I do like the look and convenience of them.

Remember you have to have something to mount that basket on as no base mounting system.
I saw some that came with factory compatible mounts at bajarack.com but over $800.
I would get a shell/topper as you can stuff everything back there plus the dog. On trips you can lock it and also it stays dry! Personal preference.

Oh yeah, it's Smittybuilt. I got it on Amazon. It's actually a single cab rack rotated 180 degrees and mounted to two KB Voodoo bed bars. I used it in conjunction with a tarp and straps to keep camping and hunting gear dry &nout of the bed. It's on sale for $157 right now:
