    What’s up Taco family!

So I’m about to start wiring up my roof and bed lights… will be running 4 Hella lights on the roof rack and 2 more Hella lights on the front corners of the bed. Just looking for the cleanest way to run the wires with least amount of visibility. Definitely NOT drilling any holes! So if that’s how you did it, Stay Off Thread! Was thinking about running some heavier and insulated wires down the back of the cab. Down between the cab and bed, then tying them up with the factory harness all the way up to the engine bay. From there to power source and through firewall to switches in dash. Not exactly the fastest or shortest route by any means… but that’s not my concern. I want the cleanest and most stealth way possible.

Anyone have thoughts? Love to see pics of your locations as well!

    -Cheers to all help!

Hi If the rack is seeing a ground - I think you only would only need to run a positive wire from your source and ground at your light mounting points. I did see some roof rack you tube videos where they tucked it under the windshield molding, and into the roof rubber strip that was altered for the rack to mount. Regards Scott

For my roof rack light bar, I just ran the wire down the windshield channel.

So if you have two sets of lights, do one down each side?

Or if you decide to run one down the back, you can run it somewhat inside the rear window trim. I ran solar wires down mine and into the bed.

KC Hilities makes a super solid universal wire hider. I’m at work and this is the only pic you can somewhat see it on my truck lol I can snap another pic when I’m home later. The wire hider just uses double sided 3m tape & if you follow the factory windshield weatherstripping it looks factory.

I bought it from Rago because with shipping and all it was the cheapest place I could find it. C0E4DBCA-88E4-4FDE-AC24-FBA26FD90514.jpg

Slightly off topic… what is that second wind deflector on your prinsu?? Do you think it helps with wind-noise created from the light bar?? I’m trying to find good solutions for the LOUD wind-noise from my light bar mounted on my prinsu cab rack.

I built that. More to help with the aerodynamics since I've got a storage case, Maxtrax, and some times Rotopax up there. I didn't really notice any extra noise from the light bar. I did from the roof rack but that weather stripping on the fairing helps.

That’s a pretty impressive match right there. Solid work. If I end up with all that up top I might have to copy you.

I ran a half fairing for a while. It was just a piece of ABS that I heated and bent to sit in front of the just the storage box. It did the trick. But after relocating my Maxtrax up there. I wanted something that would cover it all. Tried the ABS again but trying to bend something that long wouldn't work.
